I bought a Audiovox portable dvd player model d1708 for summer vacation trips for the kids. I purchased it probally about a year ago. we used the dvd player on the battery probally about 5 or 6 times. I charged it up recently to go on a trip and the battery wont charge contacted technical support, waited 30 mins and the guy just asked me is the red light blinking and said then its faulty and transferred me to customer service. Who told me that they only carry a 90 day warranty on their products and the battery could be replaced for 79.99. I only paid about 75 for the unit itself.

While looking online i foudn that you could purchase one at the store for around 70 - 100 for a decent size one.

Im upset with the fact that they only cover a 90 day warranty on anythign you purchase with them, and no one even tried to help i waited over 30 mins for about 2 mins of customer service.

Might i add that there customer service reps aren't very friendly either.
