Avant Credit Wicked Huge Scam Chicago Illinois
Avant Credit offers non collateral loans for debt consolidation, home improvement and pretty much any reason. I received several offers from Avant based on my credit score so I decided to apply because they have a good BBB rating. I was approved for a loan based on my credit score and the income I provided in my application subject to the verification of the information I provided. They require that you give them your bank account information, user name and password to verify your monthly income which I was VERY hesitant to do but did provide due to their BBB rating (I changed my password immediately after verification). I received an email approval and a follow up phone call to ask if I wanted to add any information and I was told everything had been verified and approved. I then heard nothing for a few days so I checked with Avant and was told my loan was denied. This made no sense because Avant knew my income, credit score and they verified all my information. They have refused to elaborate as to why my loan was suddenly denied after approval. I do not know what kind of scam Avant is running whether it is Data Mining, Bait and Switch (I now get lots more USPS and email loan offers) or what their deal is.
