Do not get involved with these people but, if you've already been had--as I was--read on to the end of this report to find out how to make it stop.
I took advantage of a low-cost 'trial membership' of this web site, which supposedly provides a service that allows you to download files at high speeds. In my case, I was trying to download a video of Barrack Obama's speech. They claimed to have it, so I signed up for the $4.87 advertised and tried to download my video. Surprise, surprise, once I was logged in as a real member--they didn't have it.
I started to get suspicious around then and decided to Google this company. I found several posts, like the one I am making now, that reported them as scam artists and frauds. Apparently their search engine, when you are NOT a member, claims to have anything you search for. When you ARE a member, it might--at best--give you a link to some other site. In most cases, it gives you nothing at all.
Concerned, I logged into my banking site and noted that, not only had I been billed for the $4.87 trial subscription that I had signed up for LESS than HALF AN HOUR before my checking on my card...but, FIFTEEN SECONDS after that charge went through, I was being billed by EXPRHELP.com in the amount of $39.95. According to my trial terms, I was not due to be billed for three days--and then only if I did not cancel.
I called my CC company and they gave me the contact number that had accompanied the charge.
I called that number, and got Jettis International who apologized and said they would cancel the charge and block my number from ANY future charges from ANY of their clients, period. We'll see...
