 I too experienced my worst nightmare moving into an Apt. here on 6/10/2016. Like everyone else the model that a show it's a far cry from what one actually gets. My vents have been painted over so many times you cannot adjust the airflow because they are inoperable due to being painted so many times over the years. I had to take my ceiling vents out because there were clumps of dark black which was actually mold that was hanging and dropping in between the slats of the ceiling vents. Since I do Residential and commercial cleaning prior to get settling I did a thorough cleaning here and what I found was this place had not been cleaned as they said it had. Underneath the sink and stove the baseboards were filthy. I opened the freezer and so just coloration and so I unscrewed the bottom plate that was there and removed it only to find mold chocolate and pink sticky stuff as well as crumbs and a syrup like spillage. When I asked the office staff to come and see that my apartment had not been cleaned I was told" you just want a professional cleaning and we don't do that every time someone moves out!" I've been reply no and took a microfiber cloth ran the water and Sibley showed them one simple wipe took that still off the baseboards somebody did not do a job they were paid for it. Then the one young office girl screamed at me for taking off the bottom plate of the freezer yelling "WHY DID YOU DO THIS? YOU CAN'T BE taking things apart here!! WHY DID YOU?" I simply told them that if I'm going to put food on a service weather is package door contained in a storage container or freezer container I want to make sure that I don't have bacteria or germs anywhere on the surface . Again I reminded them somebody got paid for a job they didn't do because you could see grease and dirt underneath the cabinets which by the way are not woodgrain, they are 5yrs+ of paint with paint drips & splatters & hinges that DON'T KEEP CUPBOARDS CLOSED! I went from June 10th to July 15th of 2016 with no pants water!! They didn't really seem to care nor did anybody reply to the maintenance request I put in regarding this. I CONTINUALLY WAS informing them it is unsanitary, affects my health, my emotional & physical well being + MY WORK!! HOT & COLD RUNNING WATER are NOT amenities THEY'RE a NECESSITY! Somewhere in August or September the three Hispanic maintenance guys were sharing up the parking lot asphalt in order to stick the hot water problem I was told. They are not certified plumbers nor are they certified construction workers with the wherewithal to properly break up a parking lot and secure it nor are they registered with the city to do this type of work period they told me it was their property and they can do what they want. Needless to say they busted another pipe and to this day almost a year later I still get sand residue in my tub after running my shower or a bath. They continually shut the water off without notice. After living here a year I have had only three calls answered and had had to call almost at a daily basis. Alpine walkthrough I showed the staff the orange light with on her my oven and the maintenance guy said "no problemo, is working"! Well it's late is on that tells me there's electricity running to it from somewhere yet they did nothing to investigate it. Staying on this. Thanksgiving I went to use my stove the one with the continual Orange light and the front burner spark torch 2 the back birds upward and zapped me to the ground!! I am a single 60 year old female living alone with my service dogs and this could have been worse than it was. I immediately called the office of course this thing to the wonderful speech of bullshit and inform them of what happened. I've been called the emergency maintenance number which we are instructed to call and left the same message this was on Thursday. No one replied or return my call Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday! Believe me I continue to call and leave messages whining someone to check the electrical here in my apartment because now my still was not working at all so for 4 days I was unable to cook a meal in my own so called "home"!! On Tuesday I saw a maintenance person out by the pool in front of my apartment and I grab him instead look you need to get this still out here and get me one in here that works because this thing almost killed me with the current of electricity that next to me to the ground here's the burn marks up the wall and the back of the stove and all he did was say "no problemo I feex it!"and switch the Breakers back on. I said I was not going to accept that I wanted a working so because it was not a matter of IF IT was going to happen again but WHEN. Another request for a work order to the office and another week would no action, I finally snagged a new face in the Hispanic maintenance field and with a language barrier got through to him and he immediately took out the dysfunctional still and brought in another one. Now THIS ONE its not properly wired underneath and when the burners are turned on sometimes will start but the wires I journey are definitely a tangled mess. The electrical outlets in these apartments are so old and soul painted over that when you plug in a phone charger to charge your phone overnight or a vacuum off and they fall right out because they do not fit another do they sit properly because either outdated outlet another issue that has never been addressed in the year that I have been here and requested several times. If you look at their website the grounds are not manicured as they show in the photos nor are the apartments as they are in the photo toward that they have on their site to view. There is not a specific deposit amount or rental amount that is paid because they charge WHAT THEY WANT & DEPENDS ON WHO IS DEPOSITING. I specifically stated that I wanted my rent due on the 4th of every month because of my disability check is deposited on the 3rd at midnight and was told no problem. Well within the first 2 months I got late notices and a $50 fee added to my rent because it was not paid on the 1st!! Then I set up an auto-pay with the company they have PayLease. I haven't setup so they can take it out on the third of every month I get a email receipt and I know my rent is paid... or so I thought. I've been begin getting 5 day pay or quit notices attach to my door with a bunch of additional charges such as a $75 service fee, a $50 per day late fee from the first to whatever date paylease actually deposited by money, on top of my rent of $674.16 send howling over $900 that was to be paid immediately or I was told I had to move out according to the paper. After receiving the first one I took it down to the office asking HOW CAN I BE LATE? YOUR COMPANY TAKES IT 3RD OF EVERY MONTH?? The manager told me well I didn't see it on my morning Report at which point I showed her my last 3 months receipts via email from paylease. I again encounter dissin December and January, again getting nowhere with the office. They will pay someone to put their self made little flyers and every door informing us of if we pay our rent a day early we can be in a drawing for free movie rentals or we can be in a drawing to receive a 52 inch TV which meant of us really care about but yet they will not take the time to post any notice as to a repairs that will affect a particular building or the entire complex, such as AIR CONDITIONING, NON WORKING LAUNDRY MACHINES OR RUNNING WATER!! I have taken them receipt because I had to go in stay in a hotel in order to shower and get to work clean for 3 to 5 days at a time but they will not reimburse but yet they want to charge you $100 plus Ion an assumption you're late when you're not! I believe they charge everybody who receives disability $50 to $75 late because they were unavailable to accept rent over Labor Day weekend nor do they have any drop-off or it could have been dated and stamp in dropped in awaiting their return after the holiday. NO THEY MAKE US PAY. If you come to check out these apartments do not believe the office hours because I have gone down there to discuss no water or something burning or smelling like it was burning in the apartment at 10:30am and found no one there and they will return at saying posted in the door. They go to lunch whenever they want and return whenever they want. As I stated in the year I have been here I have had someone answer my call 3 times and that's all. They say they're open until 5 or 6 p.m. but yet the office is left in clothes at 4 p.m. and maintenance is here from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. there is no after hours maintenance as they say nor is there any emergency maintenance as they say nor is there any part time security as they say. This place is infested with bugs and criminals who have recently been released from our prison system. His place has over a 100 pit bull dogs & I keep getting told they are service dogs!!! that's bullcrap! They do not provide free dougie treats as they say more do they even keep be doggie bag to pick up your dog dropping where they have the stands posted. You have to actually walk around and take pictures of someone it's you see their dog pooping and there not picking it up and you have to follow them to their apartment before you can report it to the office and if you don't have a bag for your dog's poo, It's you're fault because they're not providing the bags that go into the stations where the dogs pcs is to be put in trash can. This is not a beautifully landscape home style living as they say. The police helicopter Zurich constant wake up as they hugger around here for hours at a time shining there spotlight an anything that moves. There are made your methamphetamine dealers doing dope deals in the parking lot and they know it but they do nothing about it because her to busy going to lunch not answering phones trying to collect money by falsely charging someone sees there not responsible for and that checking messages before repairs or request let alone any prospective tenant. I called Chamberlain properties who are the one to receive our rent money to inform them of the late arrival early departure of office staff for which they are paying them for a specified amount of hours, I informed them of Maintenance repairs not getting done continual water shut off violating city ordinance by digging up water pipes Springleaf creating hazardous parking areas because they don't put it back to the way it was nor are they certified or legally documented to do the repairs which they are attempting to do. They hung up on me. Explain to them that didn't make sense how I could get hot water in my bathroom tub and bathroom sink but not in my kitchen or I could get hot water out of post office in my kitchen and none in the bathroom but that's only when there was water. They advertise heard of this complex dad Bella dirty at 8102 North 19th Dr get the other half of the complex they advertise with a Las Palmarias address. It's obvious they don't want to do bald that's the entire complex is owned an operator by the same people with a9 professional maintenance staff and no emergency staff and a staff that doesn't return any calls nor do they check their messages because they really don't care. At any point during the day you can find the office manager who normally hides behind closed blinds in her office visiting with a baby in one of the unit sore and a cell phone talking and Spanish for an hour at a time but I know has nothing to do with any of the issues the numerous tennis have brought to their attention. My blinds on my living room window if you look at them their uneven and you will see the holes were they are supposed to clip on to the little fixtures intern because they've taken them where they were broken up the clip and cut another hole and slid it into where the other one broke from. They are not new they are not form-fitting they are not even in the same way in the bedrooms. The classes are not huge and if they small 6 foot rod on both sides with one shelf above in fact there is no extra storage if you have anything that doesn't fit in this apartment there is no where to put it. There's a total of 4 Cupboards in the kitchen one small drawer a double one under the sink and a small cupboard next to it that's all you have in the kitchen. in the bathroom you have a single cupboard door & 2 Doors under the sink. There's a split shelf on the left side and NOWHERE TO STORE ANYTHING because of smelly, leaking pipes down and across under the sink. My 1bd/1ba 501 sqft apt is $675/no utilities included however that's if your air conditioning continues to work and if your water's not shut off for one reason or the other or if you get hot and cold water or if whatever you need to plug in will work because of the outdated Outlets. They told me if I wanted to stay on a new lease Rent would be $727/MO. If I wanted to stay up 5pm 6 months $745/month & Month- to- Month $780!! Remember now you can at regulate the air flow because the events are painted shut the kitchen faucet has not been repaired for a month and sport water all over cannot use the garbage disposal unless I want everything under my sink to be sitting in standing water and remember I still do not have continual hot and cold water so why would I pay those increases are they for real?? If you're looking for a place to call home or a place where you can relax and enjoy amenities and a sparkling pool (which is not present here), maintained grounds, laundry facilities, maintained & updated living areas and neighbors that AREN'T tattooed from head to toe felons, recent prison inmates, who are lurping around checking out everything you have, every move your make, watching who comes & goes, what kind of car you drive & going as far as breaking into your car or stealing hub caps & tires, as well as stereo systems or anything else they can pull out in a moment's notice..DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...DON'T EVEN STOP HERE!!
