Berkheimer & Associates They are digging up bones Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania
My wife & I are retired and live in North Carolina. We left Schuykill County, Pa more than four years ago. Yesterday Sept. 21, 2016 I recieved two envelopes in the (normal) mail delivery from Berkhiemer on addressed to my self & 1 to my wife. Both had collection statements enclosed each totalling $1305.00 (total=$2610.00).
I immediately conatcted them and after being on hold for 28 minutes, my call was dropped only to get a dial tone. I assumed that meant they wouldn't help me. All of our taxes were paid via our accountant in 2012.
I called back and was told that I would have to prove my payment and that is it! The bill dates back to 2006 and our accountant in Summit Hill, Pa has since passed. Who keeps those kind of records laying around especially after moving such a distance.
This company is Digging Up Bones taking advantage people who have relocated and some time has passed.
I do hope some respectable politician can see the light and come down on them though seem untouchable.
