Bert Echt Sun Electric & Plumbing Left work site without finishing. Destroyed property. Left environmental mess. Ferndale New York
Bert Echt and his partner from Sun Electric & Plumbing were hired to install a bath and remodel a bathroom for two fragile elderly people whom they had done work for before.
They claimed they could do the job and we trusted them. Every time they asked for more money we gave it to them because they had been trustworthy in the past.
$6,000 later we were left with a walk in tub which was not attached to the walls properly, cracking, separating caulk, wall tiles which were literally "spot glued" onto the walls and onto a wooden window frame, floor tiling which looked more like a floor in Los Angeles after a healthy earthquake, an electric panel in said bathroom separated from the wall with a huge gap, improperly sealed bath faucet assembly, scuffs on the walls, pencil marks on the walls, environmental pollutants used to dissolve grouting left on the lawn, broken tiles left on the lawn and in the garden in two piles.
When asked when they would return to finish the job,they said the following week. It's been a year and a half and we have not heard a peep.
Were it not that Bert has a decent family, we would have sued him, but we are not that sort of people.
There it is.
