I ordered a PS3 from this company for 1,299 dollars . I was just trying to get my son what he wanted for Christmas. It came and appeared to be what I ordered, but when my son got it on Christmas, he was more than upset. The Playstation 3 was not the American Version that I assumed I was purchasing, but was instead the Japanese model which is unable to play any of my sons ps2 games, or and of his CD's or DVD's -- features that are promised for the PS3. I checked the website after my son received the incorrect model. I searched and there is not one instance of the word Japanese.

Furthermore, the website states " Blu-ray Disc players are compatible with DVD so existing DVD collections can be enjoyed on Blu-ray hardware" (Blu-Ray is the new technology the PS3 uses" That is not the only issue with the Japanese ps3, it's controllers buttons are also reversed. Even worse than the lack of functionality is the fact that Sony will not give any support to the foreign product . It is clear that his fraudulent company was simply trying to take advantage of peoples desire to give their children what they want for Christmas. I paid a 700 dollar premium in the first place, but is even worse that I purchased a ps3 from a fraudulent company, and therefore got a model that is not even supposed to be sold in The United States of America. It even states on the back of the PS3 box "Not for Sales or use outside of Japan" Here are the grueling details:

The PS3 was purchased on Dec. 1st, 2006

It arrived promptly

The PS3 was purchased with my Credit Card for $1,299

As a result of the fraudulent purchase, I have disputed the charges, and I have emailed a gentlemen named Jay at the company. He maintains that that the unit is fully functional and that they have a policy of no returns or refunds. I have copies of our 3 emails. He is steadfast and is unwilling to give me a refund or exchange the PS3 for a proper functional American version.
