Was the puppy in your house at all? If so, Don't get another puppy quite yet. You stand a good chance of having the same thing happen, and it won't be reasonable to expect the breeder to cover it this time. Keep on disinfectin'. And when you DO get another puppy, a slightly older one, with more shots, will more likely have a more stable immune system to better fight off any exposure to parvo. Parvo can be picked up anywhere, at anytime. Not just from the obvious. Some vaccines can make a dog shed the virus heavily, and survivors can become carriers that periodicly shed it, with no one the wiser. It can be transferred on hands, clothes, and especially shoes. Even kennels which make people who visit wear caps, gowns, and shoe covers after disinfecting can have a break out from some unsuspecting person whom is unknowingly carrying the virus around with them. Just because we can't see it, doesn't mean it's not there. Some breeds are more susceptible. Good luck to you. *just my opinions*

We bought a puppy from Big Block Kennels / Ann Evert Patton. We live near Wichita Ks and we searched on the Internet for a puppy. we saw this web site www.bigblockkennels.net it was a very prof looking web site. She told me that she was going to Dallas TX meeting someone from OK city also buying a puppy. on Nov 22 2008 we drove to Dallas TX and met Ann & Evert Patton She gave us this very cute puppy and in return we gave her $900 but what she failed to tell us is that it was a very sick puppy. We drove home the next day and noticed that the dog was not eating but we just thought it was the stress from the long drive, On the next day (Monday) The dog was very weak and lifeless I took him to the vet and it tested positive with parvo. Ann Patton agreed to pay for treatment the vet gave it a 50 50 shot. she also agreed to replace the puppy if did not make it. 5 days the puppy died. I am Still waiting for replacement 2 months later. She keeps pushing the date for replacement back. Now she will not even answer her phone to us. So if you are thinking about buying a puppy DONT. I think she must be running some kind of a puppy mill I also think all her dogs are sick dogs that are on there last leg. her site is still up and running and she still to this day is scamming other people. She needs to be stoped. I am now in the process to reporting them to every agency that i can think of: Police, better business Burro AKC, CKC, UKC, States attorney, ripoffreport.com and possible legal action. Hope this helps stop someone else from buying from her.

I am a customer of Big Block Kennels. Lovadee and Everett have been exceptionally helpful and accomodating. We purchased a mini goldendoodle from them. When she got sick, they took her back and kept her for a week. They provided veterinary care and called us daily about her progress. She is healthy and thriving today. They board all 3 of our dogs and provide excellent care. They have provided guidance and assistance at no charge regarding the training of one of our other dogs who was very challening. They are honest and caring people.

My wife and I just got married and she saved up enough money to purchase a tiny tea cup chihuahua. She found one from Big Block Kennels and decided to purchace a small three month old female. She set up the order and we paid using pay pal. I had to send some paperwork to ann using my fax machine at work. I am a Deputy Sheriff in California. When I was sending the fax my dispatcher did some research about big block kennels and told me all the negative feedback people have been leaving about them. I called ann and questioned her about the reports. Ann was very helpful and answered all my questions. The puppy arrived on time and in good condition. She is healthy and very small just has tea cups should be. Ann was very concerned for the puppys well being during the transaction. She called us several times to make sure we knew what we were doing and to give us special instructions. The puppy arrived late, 1am Houstin time, and ann wanted a call as soon as we picked her up. Ann wanted phone calls at anytime day or night if we had any problems or needed any advise about how to care for the puppy. Thanks for reading. I just wanted to share my experience with Big Block Kennels after recieving good service from them.

I looked around the internet and found several references to Big Block Kennel that suggest the kennel is not selling 100% healthy puppies and that the information they give is false and that they will not honor their own purchase contract. I'm not an uneducated person but it is impossible to be educated about everything. After trying to adopt rescue dogs, it turned out that my son's allergies led us to purchase a second maltipoo. There were no breeders in our area and so we did our best to check out Big Block Kennel. Since I had already purchased a healthy happy maltipoo (now 2.5 yrs) in the same way without incident I felt I had exercised due diligence. I plan to contact the Texas State Attorney's office and the Ombudsman for Texas and see what type of complaints can be registered against the Cobbins (or whatever they are calling themselves now). My suggestion is that don't feel too bad about being fooled the first time...it probably wasn't a good idea to give them any money the second time around but I am sure you were motivated by emotion. We were too and that's what makes us human. Glad you reported this on ripoffreport.com because otherwise I would not have had the nerve to report this too. Thank you and good luck.

If you purchased one dog from this breeder, and it died and you were unhappy with the service....why would you purchase a second dog with the same breeder?
