Mike physically chose his palms. For over two hours we measured and selected the trees he wanted for his project. He was adamant that these were the perfectly matching trees for his job. He was so confident that he signed contract and gave deposit in front of the trees with my father as a witness. Big Tree Specialist then purchased the trees using the deposit to pay for the trees in full. The next step was that we gave Mike the date we would trim the trees for his job and he gave us a date he wanted the trees delivered. We then began trimming the trees and Mike showed up unannounced (which is fine) and physically stopped our employee and said he no longer wanted the trees he had chosen and paid for. He then insisted on different trees after the deposit had already been paid to the property owner. At this point there was no going back on this order. We had no deposit to refund to him. We are a small family run business and in the 20 years and thousands of trees moved with happy customers we have never experienced a client who thought he could change contracted, paid for and trimmed trees. The trees are still in the field, perfectly healthy and beautiful specimens. Mike has settled with our bond company for less than $2,000 because he knew was in the wrong and has never been heard from again. He had no right to slander our company. He maliciously used words that have caused us to lose business and he has never apologized or rightened his wrong by removing this report. If I were in need of a landscaper I would certainly think twice before using Mike Arballo and Wpe Landscape in Irvine who is so inexperienced in the specimen trees and whose moral compass is off center to try and rip off a legitimate family business.
