Lets talk a little about Body of Change, a.k.a. ProResults. I was a personal trainer at La Fitness Body of Change for almost a year. But little did i know how much of a scam they actually were. Not only to the clients they forced to sign up, but to there employees as well. I read a lot of the complaints saying that the trainers suck and they didnt know what they were doing, which is probably true. But at the Indianapolis location we had about nine trainers who were qualified and actually good at what we do. Which is train people. Even though the clients were getting screwed over by corporate, their trainers weren't around obiviously, long enough to get close to the clients like i did. Saw most of my clients two to three times a week. And so bond soon quickly arose. I learned to trust them and they learned to trust me especially after seeing great amount of results. So I would inform them of my problems as they would theirs. And we both came to the agreement that I was well underpaid. I am stating, I am a d**n good trainer and all my clients would back me up on that one. Any trainer that works for La Fitness is underpaid. All my clients were aware of my pay; which was, $6 every half hour session. No base salary, no benefits, and surely no raises. I was given a job offer else were, but I really wanted to stay due to the bond and success I had developed with my clients, so I did what any normal employee would do. Ask for a raise. Brent Lee my Vice President denied me of it. Stated that company doesn't give raises and that the $6 pay was standard across the country. Well I have a buddy in OC, California who says their trainers get $8 per session. And I also found out that you can recieve a raise, he would have had gotten it approved by is boss. Then on top of him lying to me, Brent hired a new GM after he purposely ran off my GM. This new GM named Kyler Self was just a boy at 19 years of age. No college degree, no certifications, no knowledge of exercising, and lastly no experience in being a manager. Kyle (GM), would not communicate with us (trainers), associate with us, and in my oppion was frightened of us. All because we had educations, we have our experience, and knowledge of what we were all doing. Correct me if I am wrong, but La Fitness requires certifications or college degree and this little boy as neither. So how is he able to put clients threw their assessment? I pretty sure he could be held liable if clients found out Kyler did not have any qualifications. Bottom line is, not only is Body of Change a rip off to the clients, but to their employess as well. Granted some place are not going to be as fortunate as Indianapolis location to have such qualified trainers, but keep this in mine too La Fitness will not keep qualified trainers if they do not pay them or stop lying to employees and clients.
