I am a lover of Shetland dogs and I try to acquire the ones with the best pedigree possible, so I can take them to the dog shows. About a year ago I bought a Shetland puppy from Ms. Bonnie Saul, owner of the Islewind Shetland Sheepdogs, located in Foxboro, Ontario, Canada. I sending wired the money to the owner of this establishment several months ago to acquire the dog and so far, all I have received from the owner have been excuses for not delivering the puppy. Lately I have tried e-mailing her but my mails are not returned.
Unfortunately today I feel I have just been a victim of a fraud from this lady. Ms. Bonnie Saul appeared as a well-known Shelter breeder, showing several champion dogs in her website, which gave me the confidence to contact her. At the beginning, she maintained constant communication via e-mail, showing herself as a corteous and professional person, always willing to disipate any doubt about the pedigree and capabilities of the puppy I was interested in.
Once I wired the money, the communications from her started to fade, indicating any and all possible excuses for not sending the puppy, among them weather problems, her personal health problems and even health issues the puppy might had. More than a year passed and she was not able to provide a decent answer related to the money received or the puppy she never delivered.
This is a warning for anybody who is thinking about having any interest in Shelties puppies, to avoid doing business with this lady. I can provide you with all the e-mails exchanged, as well as the contract signed by Ms. Bonnie Saul for this transaction, which she never honored, so you do not become another victim of a fraud from this lady.
You can contact the Canadian Kennel Club and file a report with them. Laws are very strict in Canada. Be sure to check with the Kennel Club to see if she is registered with the Canadian Kennel Club.
