Cajun Fitness told me that I could sign up and that they'd give me a week free. If I didn't like it I wouldn't be responsibile for the agreement. I agreed, signed up, and went to the gym the following morning.
Parking was a nightmare. There was no where to park! people even parked in the grass and on the street.
Half of the equipment is broken. NONE of the cardio theater things work, and 3 of the 5 treadmills were "out of order".
the bathroom opens a door right into the hallway and other bathroom. i got a shot of some guy changing and half naked every time i went to the ladies room.
i asked for a smoothie on my way out. she asked if i wanted ice cream in my shake i swear. i said no, but when i asked the girl to see the carton of strawberry stuff she was using it had 40g of sugar. why are they putting sugary syrup into a "health shake". i told her i didnt want it.
The group fitness instructors are talking about other instructors or what gym members are sleeping with whom in the cardio room. Whats even worse is I asked one lady "do you take the classes" and she said "no i teach them" she looked horribly out of shape. I had to stifle a laugh and walk away.
The personal trainers were a total joke. I felt so bad for the client. This lady was doing the same group fitness class stuff with her client that she just did for FREE not even 10 minutes ago. The "trainer" was doing jerky movements did not stretch and was playing on her phone the whole time the girl was working out. I dont know what they charge but it was too much. I commented to the lady on the treadmill next to me that id love a trainer but didnt know where to find a good one. she said the people she sees training there now never lose weight and that the good trainers quit a long time ago. a lady waiting for the fitness class overheard and gave me the number of a guy and said he's the only trainer there that she trusted. i havent called him yet.
anyway, on my next visit a few days later the girl at the desk was rude when I asked for a towel. I mean its only a towel but I got a huff and puff. When I asked to speak to the manager on the way out she said "thats me how can I help you". I just walked out.
i walked into the womens workout room and i couldnt even walk through the room. the trainer had weights and junk everywhere and told me sorry we are using this room. my choices were workout in the main room with screaming steroid guys or walk on the same broken treadmill that i did the day before. i went into the group fitness room and low and behold the young girl teaching was overweight. i couldnt believe my eyes. i just turned and left.
i called the next day and asked to cancel my membership and they told me sorry theres a cancellation fee and you cant get out of it unless you move. its only been one week, and i told her that she said i wouldnt be stuck if i didnt want it. she told me she doesnt have that authority and that it'd be $300 to cancel.
ive contacted a lawyer and told everyone i know to avoid this place.
