Calvary Portfolio Services, LLC is attempting to collect on a bill that I have disputed for years and am now demanding they provide me written proof.

They refuse to accomidate my legal demands within the 30/ days required by law. Experian credit bureau will not remove their bogus claims from my report.

I have now filed a complaint with the FTC.

calvary will keep reporting it to the credit bureaus even after you successfully dispute it off. i used to work at their phoenix office. it was the only company i ever got fired from. file a complaint with the attorney generals office immediately. you can do it online. attorney general complaints are the very worst thing for a collection agency. never ever ever speak to a bill collector on the phone unless you are recording the conversation. they will lie lie lie about everything. they will say anything to get your money. communicate via fax, email or certified mail and save it all. you'd be surprised how many people will pay a bill even though its not theirs just to get some peace of mind. when i worked there, 75% of the accounts were past the statute of limitations.. this means they can no longer sue you for the money but we told people all the time that we were going to.. but even if an account is past the statute of limitation they can still try to collect it, they can still report it to the credit bureaus. they just cant get a judgement anymore. i remember one time the people in my group were calling and claiming they were from "cps" which is short for cavalry portfolio services but here in arizona it is also child protection services. obviously alot of panicked parents were calling in.. i actually complained about that one until the manager put a stop to it. another tactic they use is to constantly change the name of the company.. its calvary investments then its calvary portfolio, then its calvary portfolio services.... the vice president steve anderson actually bragged about it to me one day that thats how they avoided lawsuits.

I forgot to give you this bit of info! Call Kristen Papp at 1-866-483-5139 Ext 13422. She is a manager and can have the account pulled. You may need to leave numerous messages but should get somewhat of a response. Good luck!

#4Consumer Suggestion

Mon, April 24, 2006

Calvary employees should be taken out in the street and shot. This company is the most unethical immoral evil company in all of the world. I had the same problems you have had with a Sprint PCS bill of bogus charges that they could not prove. My suggestion, call and harass the hell out of them. Call every single day, speak to every single manager you can, fax them daily letters full of anything you wish, in other words just keep harassing them until you can get a resolution. It took me months of this until I finally have had it "deleted" from my credit report, although I am still skeptical of that.
