On March 29th, 2014, I bought a used Chevy Blazer from CARHOP in Allentown pa. Our salesman was Sean Finney, who we were told quit working there a few months back. It was raining and overcast, that played a huge part in the glass issue. We were told "99 dollars down, you drive away with a car", But that was hogwash. Bait and switch to people without 700 credit. We saw two other vehicles we wanted, they sold for the same price, but mysteriously, we could not have them. We were offered a Chevy Blazer,2004. After buying, we found the car had a bent frame, could not pass inspection. It also was having drivability issues from the accident they didn't disclose. The glass was pitted and scratched so badly that you could not see unless the glass was wet, when we bought the car, it was raining! What a coincidence! The car had "just come in" , I'm sure it was brought to the lot only when it rained too! We called to request Carhop fixing it. they said,"It's not covered". I was cleaning out the car when I found the old owner's State Farm Insurance card for the Chevy Blazer. I followed a hunch and read the Vin#, As I suspected, 2 digits changed in the middle of the vin#. They "washed" the title and sold the salvaged car as a used car. That's illegal, you must get a special salvage title which they inspect the car to make sure all issues were repaired prior to sale. Carhop routinely buys cars with washed titles, and sells their salvage finds to suckers like us. I called UAC, (another nightmare) and informed them that they financed a slavage car with a washed title. They refused to take back the car and refund my $3,000.00 . Now I have a blemish on my credit report because CARHOP in Allentown and UAC screwed me over. If anyone wants to represent us and help us go to court that would be great. I have a disabled adult son with Cerebral Palsy and Autism, and we are currently without a vehicle thanks to Carhop of Allentown PA. We finally said,"look, the car is not able to pass inspection, you won't fix it, we can't drive it, it's still under warranty. You better just come and get it. The vehicle was sold for 500 dollars as a salvage vehicle again. They billed me an additional few thousand. They reported it as a "charge off". We would be happy to sue them for my $3000.00 dollars they owe me. Anyone offering to represent us?
