Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I drove from Fort Worth to Ardmore to look at a used vehicle I had seen online and had been communicating with Jeremy the internet sales manager.  I was told i had been approved to get the vehicle for my trade-in @265 per month for 5 years.  I was guaranteed of this which is why i drove 2 hours to buy it.
When arriving I was shown the used vehicle and then asked if I was interested in looking at new vehicles.  I said if the payment would be close to the same monthly i would look.  We then looked at several new trucks, which Jeremy assured me would qualify for 6500 of rebates.  When we went to actually negotiate price, the sales manager came back with only 3000 in rebates.  I told them we were guaranteed 6500 in rebates and he said that we did not qualify for most of them.
When we saw the new trucks were going to be out of our price range, we asked to then go back to the original used truck we came to view.  At this point we were told they could not do the original as was guaranteed to us.
This was the first point which we tried to leave, but could not because the dealership had our keys.  They asked if we would stay until they could find a new truck which would fit our budget.  We reluctantly agreed.  A stripped down model was pulled out and we test drove it.  They then came and presented us with numbers we still did not like.  It was at this time we tried to leave again, but could not because they would not bring us our keys.
When they brought the final offer, we told them we would like to go home and think about it.  They asked us to meet with the finance manager to see if the interest rate could get better.  We had been on the lot for almost 5 hours at this point.  We finally reluctantly agreed to sign for the truck, but as soon as we left we felt terrible about the deal.  We could not come back because the dealership was locked up as we were leaving (it was well past 10pm).
The next morning, less than 10 hours later, we called and told them we would like to return the truck and receive our trade in back.  We spent all day on the phone.  I was never allowed to speak with the owner after several attempts to discuss the unethical tactics and pressure his employees had used.  Tom Johnson, the general manager, finally agreed to break the contract if we would pay him 1,000 cash.  While i protested, i felt it was the only thing i could do.
Furthermore, when i finally did receive my trade in back, my truck had been stickered as a 2003.  My truck is a 2001, the title clearly says this, as well as all of my trade in papers (which i have copies of).  This to me is another example of the dealership's dishonesty.

What states have buyers remorse laws for car purchases?  I know for a fact that Michigan doesn't.

I'm genuinely interested.

Points of disagreement with the employee from the dealership:

1) we were not told we would receive "up to" 6500 in rebates, we were told we "would" receive 6500 in rebates, which with our trade would have brought the payments to where we needed them to be.
2)  when we were told we could not get the trucks we had driven for the price we needed, we tried to go back to the used truck we came to see.  It was then the finance manager said we could not do that deal at the terms we needed (this is after we verified on the phone we could--which is why we drove 2 hours!)
3)  We told the sales person and sales manager on at least 3 different occasions we were going home and wanted to think about it.  our keys were not brought to us and no attempt was made to retrieve them for us.
4)  If money was lost on the deal, why were you not more than happy to allow us to be released from the contract?  You rather sell a truck and lose money than allow a dissatisfied buyer to change their mind less than 10 hours afterward?
5) Why was a payment of 1000 dollars needed to shred some papers?  If you were losing money on the deal, allowing us to back out was going to save you money anyway.  Two other major dealerships in Oklahoma said that while they would have tried to work another deal, any of their customers which were dissatisfied in that short a time would have been released from their contract.

Oklahoma needs "buyers remorse" laws which allow a period of time for buyers to return vehicles they feel they were pressured into or unsatisfied with, like many other states have.  If you live in Oklahoma, be especially diligent--I'm sure there are some great dealerships around--this one is not.

Mr. ( Fort worth) called our dealership interested in a 2007 dodge ram 4x4. We explained what his payment would have been ( with his credit) which was good-  would have been 262.00, which was what they were. They came in and drove the truck (07) and liked it but were worried about the warranty and then asked me about our new trucks. I told them we could get close to the payment they needed to be because we have up to 6500.00 in rebates. They drove several trucks, five to be exact. we could not get close on those, our Finance Director sat down with them and asked them: if he could get a new truck for the payment they want  would they buy it; and they said "yes." We pulled up a nice new truck and they were happy, and then (Mr. Fort Worth) walked back to the 07' and I told him "either one would be good for you," "consider the pros and cons of each." Then he went a drove the new truck and it was super hard to get them to the payment they needed to be, but we did and they were happy. Not at any time did they ask me, the salesman, or anyone else for thier keys( which we would have gladly given them) the reason for this is we were losing money on thier purchase-to make them happy. I shook thier hand and said "have a great night and thank you" they said the same to me and I left. They stayed behind to finish up paperwork. The next day we were blown away to here that they wanted bring the truck back. Our general Manager talked with him and said he made the deal and he should stand by it. Mr. ( Fort worth) Called back 4 more times. We then told him he coud bring the truck back, which by law we did not have to but us being nice we did. Take this situation elsewhere and you would have been a proud owner. Also the year on the stock tag may have been a mistake by a young salesman. But, there are things known as vin #'s and when they are entered into our system it brings up the year. So believe me we would have caught that. I want to apologize for you driving all of the way down here and us working hard for you to get you a new truck, that you wanted, treating you with respect and letting you get out of a deal that anywhere else you would not have been able to.

Next time remember...YOU are valuable.  YOUR time is valuable.  The dealership needs YOU and YOU don't need the dealership.

What they did, according to your account of the events, is to pressure you into a new truck.  You realized at the start you did not like that idea and wanted the used truck.  You kept on saying they wouldn't return your keys.  If I came to your house, took your keys and wouldn't give them back, what would you do?  Would you just go along with that or call the police?  You bet you'd call the cops.  People have done that at car dealers too.  As you have seen, the Sleazy American Car Business will stop at nothing.  At my second request, if they failed to return MY keys, I'd call the cops and make the biggest scene possible in front of other potential customers.

REMEMBER...YOU are valuable.  YOUR time is valuable.  The dealership needs you...you don't need them!
