Several emails lead to a phone conversation, where he charmed the pants off me and convinced me that he could help me generate tons of leads (what I was looking for), in order to generate substantial income in an MLM that I had just started.
Please note that I do realized that this was a rookie mistake on my part, but a mistake that cost me $6000... hence I'm sharing this story, with hopes that other newbies don't fall for his ways.
Long Story Short: He guaranteed me that with this $6000, he could scale me up to $50,000 a month (within 3 months) and because that seemed far fetched to me... I asked how long my money would last, should that not happen as quickly as he stated... to which he basically responded, 'I'm going to get you there... so don't worry... your money won't run out'.
Needless to say... I didn't get one email lead from anything he did for me.
Was part of that my fault? Sure. I can own the fact that I didn't know what I was doing... but when I brought this up to him, he stopped taking my calls and responding to my emails.
What makes this situation even more ridiculous, was that 8 months after this investment, Robert Smith decided THEN to complete the charges for the services he never followed though on... services, which I thought I had already paid for via credit card.
ie: All the sudden (2) payments of $1250 pushed my cards over their limits without warning from Robert
Upon sharing my anger and frustration with him (clearing stating the fact that he had done none of what he promised within emails) He simply never responded again… he kindly let me know that he would return the funds, so I could remake the purchases on different cards. Needless to say, that never happened. And when I checked back in with him… he said that I would have to pay on the different cards first, then he would return the funds.
Clearly I did not do that… after all the lies he had already spun. (Simply put: He totally screwed me again)
In fact... I was even compelled to add my contribution about Robert Smith PR (who was running under Champion Media Worldwide when he stole my money), in hopes to help others to not make the same bad decision that I made too.
Trust me... he's super nice on the phone and will make you feel like he'll have you shining like the top of the Chrysler building by the time your conversation is over. You will even be willing to pay for his services via credit card, because he will have you convinced that you'll get the return you're looking for in a swift amount of time, because he’s not going to stop helping you until you succeed... but it will all fail and he will disappear.
