He harasses people in rowland. He came up to the truck my son was in 'out of uniform' at a convenient store and arrested him. He did not read him his rights, what a sorry buisness.

Hey, seen your report and just had to write. I am not sure if you are the Millie I met a couple of times. I used to come up there a couple of years ago and visit your godson, Buck (that is if you are the right Millie). Well I just had to write a quick note because it was bothering me all day if it was you or not. That is all. Sorry about your son, hopefully he has gotten everything straighten out since then.

Is there more to it?

While the possibility exists that this Rowland guy might be a scumbag, is there more to this? Contrary to popular belief and TV, it isn't required to read Miranda rights to subjects under arrest simply because they are under arrest. It IS required prior to any questioning further than identification questions. If you aren't asking questions though, no rights have to be read. The burden will be then on the Chief to give probable cause for the reason the subject (your son) is being arrested. He does have to tell him he is under arrest and he must identify himself. Anyway, hope that clears a little up for you and that things get straightened out for you
