Chrysler Dodge LLC 2006 Charger ruins tires with front end vibration Auburn Hills Michigan
After purchasing a 2006 Dodge Charger SXT, the vibration in the front end has ruined two sets of tires in under 40,000 miles and the third set is on the ground now. The Dodge dealership says its because I do not rotate my tires often enough, but I do that every time I change the oil, which is every 3,000 miles.
I am putting good tires on this car ... Pirelli 18 inch. The vibration gets better once the new tires hit the ground, but as soon as the wear from vibration starts to "ripple' them, the vibration gets really bad again.
The service department at Chrysler says its expected on "all brands" but the tire places I have called said they have never heard such a thing... or that they do indeed have a customer with a DODGE CHARGER that has to buy new tires every 10-15,000 miles.
THIS IS NOT RIGHT ! Good tires should last longer than 10,000 miles, and my car should not be vibrating like that all the time. What else is all that vibration wearing out ?
Can anyone help? Is this a common problem with Chargers? Is this a class action suit waiting to happen??
