Chuck Herrera is a self-style coffee owner/barista who makes remarks that clients have taken as extremely insensitive, and violently threatening. I personally felt like I was being racially profiled as well. His love for cofee is only eclipsed by his temper and penchant for threatening violence that he's exhibited a number of times. He's made several remarks which I've personally taken to be extremely insensitive, offensive and potentially racist: Remarks I took to be physically threatening. I've heard remarks and threats he's made to other people at his coffee shop as well, and I think it's important to know that his values - in my opinion - don't align with the values of many people that walk in his shop. Do you want to do business with or follow someone who thinks making violently threatening gestures is OK?!?!?
Sure, he's tried to make a name for himself as the a thought leader in coffee, but those are a dime a dozen these days, aren't they? Why support someone who exhibits an explosive temper, and says derogetory things to clients while threatening voiolence (Ive seen him say some pretty bad stuff to some other people too)
I don't want to report all the things I've seen him say or do, let's just say they're pretty awful. Is this the person you want to follow and/or give business to?
Do you want to get coffee in a non-safe environment where you feel physically threatened by a narcissistic owner with clear tempermental issues? STAY CLEAR OF THIS GUY, IN MY OPINION THIS IS A VIOLENT, UNSTABLE MAN WHO NEEDS HELP BEFORE HE CAN BE IN A COFFEE BUSINESS WHERE PEOPLE CAN FEEL SAFE.
