CIC Credit Monitoring is in no way hiding the fact that in order to get a free credit report you sign up for a 30 day trial of credit monitoring that if canceled within that time you will have no charges. It is written in large writing on their website, not small or hidden. Why else would you have to enter in your banking information if it was free? I have done this several times over the years and I called and canceled the very same day, I have not once had a charge placed on my account. The information is cut and pasted below directly on the main home front page of freecreditreport.com: IMPORTANT INFORMATION: When you order your free report here, you will begin your free trial membership in Triple AdvantageSM Credit Monitoring. If you don't cancel your membership within the 30-day trial period, you will be billed $12.95 for each month that you continue your membership. As consumers we need to be aware of where we enter our sensitive banking and personal information. Be sure to read all the terms and conditions and most companies online have a contact number
