COLONIAL ANIMAL CLINIC DR. CHERIE SANDERS HORRIBLE VET DAYTONA BEACH, Florida
I phoned Colonial Animal Clinic S. Ridgewood Road, Daytona Beach, FL twice this morning only to be left on hold for several minutes both times. I drove from Palm Coast approximately 45 minutes to Colonial Vets. My little Chi that weighs 5 lb was sick. She was scratching so bad that she was bleeding. She was vomiting. Not eating so I thought I would just drive her there so that the doctor could see her. I got there 3 minutes past 12 so I waited an hr until the staff returned at 1pm. I explained the problem to the receptionist. She pulled the chart and took it in the back. She returns and is looking through the book, flipping pages........no people or pets in the office and she turns to me and says "The doctor can see her but you are going to have to wait......we will squeeze you in and you will have to pay an emergency fee of $90 just for the doctor seeing her in addition to whatever else she decides. The original fee for an office visit is $35. This was our primary vet since moving from Cape Coral, FL last year. Needless to say, I would not recommend Colonial Animal Clinic. Please take your pets to a vet that cares and is concerned for your pet! I took my baby to another vet and she was prescribed medication. When I returned home, I called Colonial and told the receptionist how disappointed that I was and she didn't seem the least bit concerned.......her remark to me was I will tell the doctor. Take your hard earned money to a vet that cares.
