Colony Apartments Provo Utah Proud legacy of cheating college students Provo , Utah
The Colony apartments sit in the shadow of Brigham Young University in Provo Utah. The complex is in close proximity to the campus, so it is not surprising that many new students go online and make drop in visits to the complex. The Colony apartments are listed as a BYU approved housing provider for students attending the university. With that endorsement from the school, one would think that the Colony would be the perfect place to have your son or daughter stay while living the Provo dream of attending BYU.
This is a warning for those unsuspecting parents who think they are getting a deal by having their son or daughter take up residence at the Colony. The place is aweful. My daughter has had the unfortunate experience of living in this substandard complex with it's 1970's floor plan and outdated utilities. Over the time she has been there, she had learned to put up with the broken refridgerators, leaking faucets and seemingly paper thin walls.
The big surprise came when one of the Colony maintenance workers damaged my daughters car while moving an appliance along the sidewalk in front of the apartment. My daughters car was legally parked on the street at the time. So the worker scrapes the side of her car and knocks her mirror off. After being alerted by a neighbor, my daughter goes out to inspect the damage. Of course the maintenance worker apologizes and states that they will take care of the damage.
That was six weeks ago. Repeated calls have been left for the owner of the colony as well as for the manager, but without success. These people are low life scum. They don't have a conscience. Would you care to wager a bet that if Brigham Young University threatened to revoke the school approved status, these creeps would be stumbling over themselves to get my daughters car fixed. For those of you considering a stay at the Colony, do yourself a favor and move on down the street. You will find that the Colony is overpriced and underhanded.
