We worked with Constitution Yacht Charters to charter "The Secret Love" for our wedding. What a disaster!!! I have attended and/or worked at about 70 weddings and this was the poorest and most unprofessional wedding I have ever seen. Their promised "A list" service was one wait person serving 45 guests. That one person could not even hold the tray and let it fall at least twice. When we told Bobby T about the problems we had, he claimed it was all A List service. He never came to meet us nor was he at the wedding. He didn't return my calls until I contested the charges with American Express. He refused to recognize that the service was terrible and we did not receive the food we paid for. The "Lavish Hors D'oeuvres" were salsa and chips. We elected the most election menu option and the main dish, lobster, was served cold with no butter. They ran out of salad after about 10 servings, they did not serve the other entre of beef tenderloin and replaced it with fish and chicken, they did not serve dessert nor coffee, which I had paid for.
The champagne toast was included in our price and indicated on the contract, however, the crew opened very special champagne that was a wedding gift to us and served it for the toast. The crew filled up the champagne glasses for the toast to the very tip of the glass with our wedding gifts! not the complimentary champagne. This is A list service?
I called the owner of the yacht, Terry Kirkman, and he got very nervous and hung up on me. (Is there A list service?) I called him twice more to politely ask what had happened (he was not present at the wedding either) and he hung up twice more.
We were promised that the crew would play my songs from my ipod on their ipod docking station. This was not done and I , the bride, had to fight with the docking station most of the wedding which was not working properly and with no help from the crew. The tables were not set up properly. The dinner was served 3 hours into the party leaving no time for dancing. The captain turned the boat around 1 hour early because he didn't know how long we paid for. I had to fight with him and the crew to call someone since I had paid for an hour longer. As we were docking, the crew was packing up for themselves the lobster no one ate because it was cold.
Before the wedding, Bobby T and Capt Terry assured us that the service would be professional and the food excellent. It was everything but. They offerred us $500 for the lack of food and service! Are they for real? $500???
I wouldn't recommend anyone work with them under any circumstance!
