I first went to Craiglist to find myself a real woman to date. I was not interested in hookers or anything illegal, just a real woman. What I found out over a period of 3 weeks made me realize that Craig's free services are probably funded by the porno industry OR through an elaborate spamming and scamming operation that Craigslist has specialized in.
This all took place in the "Casual Encounters" section of Craigslist and is a self-repeating scenario for any of the states in this country and even Canada or the rest of the entire Craig's community that it apparently serves.
Without turning this into some kind of biography, let me cut to the chase. The idea behind Craig's is for a person to be able to post an ad for free and then wait for responses to arrive in their email.
The Casual Encounters ads posted there already, however, are extremely graphic in nature and not becoming of real women, not even prostitutes : the wording goes way beyond that. I knew that the ads I was reading were written by men because ONLY MEN knew the kind of deeper sexual desires and instincts that were being expressed in the ads. The ads just kept coming and coming, round the clock, and never stopped. Filthy, ugly ads, and believe me, I am no angel when it comes to sex, and even these ads disgusted me. The ads would repeat too, constantly.
I began posting in response to these ads because I found them offensive. Craig's offers the reader the option of "flagging" a post for removal. But what good did that serve when the ad would just reappear hours later ?
I began getting very suspicious about the ads. I started responding to some of them to see what would happen. One is hustled off to porno paysites asking for credit card info, and giving the person a chance to speak to a horny woman who was very excited to talk to you to make arrangements to meet. But that's not how it went.
Since I refused to go further, I did not become a victim like others I later talked to through email who said they were ripped off through elaborate text-messaging and phone scams for up to $50 at a wack, with no way of ever recovering their lost money. This has happened to countless people and I have the proof of this in written statements. Over and over again, the same scenarios.
I then started looking around the entire Craiglist community from New England to California, to all parts of Canada and even abroad. There they were, the same ads, over and over, preying on horny, lonely, unsuspecting men everywhere. I became enraged and began flagging ads across the country and trying very hard to rally an awareness from all men everywhere. I got over a hundred responses, many I believe from the spammers themselves trying to find out more info about me because I began posing a threat to the operation, but many from what I sensed were from real people, and I responded to the real men, only to be told of their horrific ripoffs by Craigs porno scams.
I began to conclude that perhaps Craig's allowed the porno industry to purposely use their site to spam and scam men everywhere in return for funding which paid for Craig's bills. Then I also considered that maybe the ads emanated from Craigslist itself. I wrote to them and asked why they couldn't stop the nasty preying ads : why they simply could not help everyone out by blocking the IP addresses of the spammers. They responded by saying that if I didn't like the ad, I needed to flag it. But what kind of response was that ? The spam was scattered all across the Craig community !! Casual Encounters everywhere was polluted with it.
I began reading and studying how Craig's strives to be a most noticeable presence on the internet and is only 4th behind Google. I realized that the "CLICK" of a mouse may be the thing that is used to measure this statistic and that one way Craig can get MORE clicks is to allow the posting of the porno spam. This serves 2 purposes : first it gets men everywhere to click on the ad because the ads target men directly, second, the spam infuriates many men who realize the ads are fake but cannot stop them, so they click, in order to "flag" the ad and get it removed. If all this clicking ads up to some kind of web presence statistic, then Craig would surely shine.
My gut feeling tells me that Craig is behind the entire operation. They have professional writers or skilled porno writers creating the ads, they have spam bots which post the rubbish around the clock to every place within the Craig community. Men everywhere are clicking like hungry dogs at ads they simply cannot believe are a dream come true, and those that take that next step and follow through with an ad, are scammed financially, never to recover their lost money. One responder told me that he believes that a telecommunications company called US Cellnet is behind the entire phone and text messaging scamming operation. Every response I got from what I knew in my gut to be REAL men, were angry as hell at Craigs, clicking like maniacs trying to clean up their city's Casual Encounters section. But you see, this is exactly what Craig's wants.
It's elaborate, it's sinfully beautiful, but IT IS WRONG, and it needs to be stopped by internet authorities NOW.
If you do not believe me, then I beg you to go and visit the Craigslist Casual Encounters section for your city, and others. Witness the lies and the scandal yourself, first hand.
Good Luck.
Let this report please act as some kind of wakeup call to investigate Craigslist formally.
