Hi They My Story Is .Up Until The start of aug. of 2007.I worked For Cypress Truck Lines Out Of Jacksonville,fl .I Was in Columbia,sc On A friday.I was On My Way home.I Pulled out of the fly'n J There in columbia,sc.I Was At The Red Light Next To The Truck Stop. The Light Turned Green The Pickup In front of me Started to go then Stopped.I rearend the Pickup(And He Was Towing a Trailer)There Was No Damage. The Police Was Called

The Officer Came To The sene. And When he Got To The Sceene. He seen there was no damage. He Did Not Write Me A ticket. But After he Go There. The Gentlemen. That hit Was Fine Was out walking around. Then He Started Stating That He Was Hurt.He Stating His Neck Was Hurting. He The Gentlemen Stated He Needed Emt's.

Emt's Were Called to the sene.they took him to the hospital. And Towed The Pickup. The Police Officer Stated He Was No Going To Write me A ticket And WAS'NT To Charge Me And Did'nt.So I went Home To Georgia.

NOW IN THE FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER SAFETY REGULATIONS manual Regulation #382.303(a) and (b) there is a chart to clarify them rules.the first one states if there is a human fatality a drug test must taken regardless.

the second part of the chart states.if there is an injury and no ticket is written no drug test must be taken.

Then Last part of the chart states if a vehicle is towed and no ticket is written .The employer is to give no drug test.So i got home and they told i could not go back on the road until i took a drug test.I Had To Go 50 miles East To Macon,Ga To Take It .And I Had No Car Or vehicle of any kind .They Would Not Let Me Drive They company truck To macon,Ga To Take The Test .

So I never Got To Take It So They Fired Me .

They Lie'd on my D.A.C An Stated That The Gentlemen's Auto had $15,000 WORTH of damage .THen 2 years Ago I hit A dear While driving with cypress truck lines they put that on my D.A.C as an ACC./INCDENT.

So Now Im Having Trouble Finding a Jod.I lost My house And Am Having to live with my elderly mother who is on an fixed income an is in bad health with a bad heart .A she is having to support me an my daughter. We have to worry how were going to get money.

And Were may not have money to pay the bills. So Is That Realy Fair Because there a big company an im just one person

I have to agree with some of ones thoughts here, however if this were the only complaint about Cypress Truck Lines then maybe, just maybe, I'd say "yeah just another dumb truck driver" but there is entirely too many complaints about these monkeys with trucks. I have been around the block a time or two stepdecking and flatbedding and ALMOST considered working for these clowns but something kept telling me to steer clear and after reading al the bull*&%$ about them I certainly am glad I have.  Got to love the people in this industry who really have no clue. I am referring to both drivers and dispatchers.  I have always stayed with small companys who let me book my own freight (just keeps everybody honest) and do my own thing. Frank the dispatcher who is getting 10.00$ per hour to load my truck is really not looking out for my best interest.  untill recently this game was always about miles, but now a days its "less miles, More money".  I personally would like to see them take that DAC reporting service (not that I have negativity) and stick it up someones a*s. Its to easy for any trucking company to put flat out lies in there.  There are 3 classes of drivers out there. 1) has no business in a truck!!!! 2) he/she does OKAY. can at least make it move forward!! 3) but there are only a few of us still out there that can make a truck "Dance".

ROBERT. FIRST AND FOREMOST, YOU SHOULD HAVE HAD SOMEONE PROOF READ YOUR STATEMENT BEFORE POSTING. AS I READ THIS, IT IS RATHER DIFFICULT FOR ME TO FOCUS ON THE ISSUE, WHICH I AM SURE IS REAL, WHILE ALL THE WHILE TRYING TO 'INTERPRET' THE GROSS MIS-USE OF COMMON ENGLISH 101. SECONDLY, UNLESS YOUR STATE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE OTHER 49 STATES, IF YOU HIT SOMEONE FROM BEHIND, IT IS AN AUTOMATIC TICKET. NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUT'S...PERIOD. FAILURE TO STOP IN ASSURED CLEAR DISTANCE. NO QUESTIONS. I AM GOING TO HAVE TO BACK CYPRESS TL ON THIS. IT IS NOT YOUR EMPLOYERS RESPONSIBILITY TO TRANSPORT YOU FOR TESTING. YOU HAVE A SET TIME FRAME AS STATED BY DOT TO REPORT AND SUBMIT A POST ACCIDENT DRUG SCREEN. YOU FAILED TO DO THIS REGARDLESS IF YOU WERE WAITING FOR A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE TO CLEAR FROM YOUR SYSTEM OR WHAT HAVE YOU. IN THE END, I AM SURE A TERMINATION WOULD HAVE BEEN INEVITABLE REGARDLESS. YOU HAVE YOUR STATED REASONS, TRUE OR NOT, BUT THE COMPANY ALSO HAS REASONS AND GOVT GUIDELINES IT MUST FOLLOW

------you are headed for a career change. You should be able to get a local delivery truck driving job for one of the big box stores such as Lowes or perhaps driving a log truck. Jobs are tight right now but plenty of people are hired every day. Decide to be one of them.

Sounds to me that the individual needs a negative report. I have been in the trucking industry for years. This was a preventable accident. Then on top of that didnt comply with taking a drug test. Sounds to me like there is more to the story than the individual is letting on to. I fully would expect to have negatives on my report if I would have pulled a stunt like this also. Also you can tell the mentality of some, by their grammer. Remember there is no such things as accidents there are crashes. Almost 99% of crashes are PREVENTABLE.
