Over the last 25 years, my husband and I have leased as well as purchased vehicles from D&M! We always work with Stacy. At first we were leasing automobiles for ourselves (a total of at least 8). Then our children grew up (we have 4) and needed automobiles so we made purchases from D&M (3 so far)...... at all times, Stacy exuded professionalism and had no problem locating the vehicle we wanted at a reasonable price! There were no problems! She explains the paperwork carefully, and you know exactly what you are getting into! She checks on us, returns calls quickly no matter what time or day of the week it is..., regardless of where she is! I am going to have to say that D&M could not remain in business if anything I have read in these reports is true! It certainly has not been our experience! As a business owner, I am always Leary to judge a company based on one or two employees. Anyone in business knows that sometimes regardless of our best attempts, a bad apple sneaks into our work force!
I am positive this is not tolerated at D&M, and am sure management took appropriate action and the offending employee was dismissed! My point is..,, do not blame or trash an entire company with a well established reputation, based on your experience with one employee! It falls on the consumer to do their homework, ask questions, and negotiate before signing on a binding contract! Their is no defense for ignorance! I am not saying you are ignorant, but am making a general statement to the public! Do your math! Check the dealerships, and ask questions. Do you know how the leasing process works? Do you ask what the residual, depreciation or money factor on the vehicle you are looking to purchase is? These are the most important questions to start any lease agreement! As far as interest rates, think clearly before choosing a dealership to lease from! Many luxury car dealerships promise the car of our dreams for a very low monthly payment, but want a $5000 down payment to obtain it! D&M does not and has not ever done this. (At least not in my 20 years of dealing with them) it’s absurd! Why would you make a down payment so outrageous on a car you will possibly never own! You might as well start a fire and burn it! Anyway, I could go on forever so will stop!
The moral of the story is this..,,the law is on your side to a certain degree! However, it will not, and should not protect an intentionally uninformed consumer! This is the beauty of our capitalistic system! People make money because consumers assume all are honest! They are not! However, this is certainly not the case at D&M leasing! Ask for Stacy! She’s honest, she doesn’t make promises she cannot keep, finds quality automobiles, and is always at your disposal! Do Not blame others For participating in a situation or signing a Contract you do not understand. Educate yourself, ask those questions, understand the process. Stacy will always do that for you! Many of my friends have also used D&M! No complaints! They would not be in business this long if all employees operated dishonestly! You got a bad apple! Learn from it! Move on! Don’t put yourself in a situation as such again! You should have gone to management before signing! This is not the D&M I know and encourage people to continue doing business with them!
