Destroyer Automotive INC Robert Lane dishonest, creates more work for more MONEY Riverside California
i paid $2275.for a engine rebuild. Initial quote $1800. He said a week but it took 2 months and lots of phone calls. Once i did pick up car noticed problem broken turn marker, broken glove box, broken bumper clips that caused it to sag . They pulled the whole front end off to work on motor. The power steering pump was whining they must of run it without fluid. I've had to go back three times and he makes it hard to get work repaired .I really don't like going there but he caused the problem. I cant pass smog due to the engine burning oil through the tailpipe. .it smokes. Robert blames it on a engine code that he claims only the dealer knows how to fix??? It didn't have a code when I took it to him..the Smog shop that wouldn't pass it never mentioned such a code?? I went from smog guy to Destroyer Automotive . How did a code show up?? But this is the kinda guy Robert is he puts th ed blame on something else. He claims to give a warranty with the rebuild motors , I dont think he ever plans on honoring those warranty's . Buyer beware Destroyer Automotive INC . Are lie lie's they can't be trusted their word is no good.. and he has u drop off your car with a signature on a work order with nothing filled out on the section of work to be done. He makes u feel like he's so busy , I'll call you. Then he does call just to tell you its gonna take more money you need to replace this and that..Buyer beware don't do business with these people. .
