Dickson Mayfield and Trent I recieved a call from this so called collections agency. They promised that they were the best collectors around, and to give them a try with some of my previous tenants that owe me money. At first I Internet
Dickson Mayfield and Trent scammed me about of 900 hundred dollars.
I am normally very weary of sales calls but they were good. I checked out there website online, talked to several people inside there company, and I even demanded a written money back guarantee before I sent them any money. I was sure they were a real company, so I figured a written money back guarantee would be just fine. They said they were going to sue one of my previous tenants for about $4700, and they had discovered that this tenant had $5000 in a bank account. they claimed that they needed to freeze the money in a bank account and that is why they needed the original court cost up front- $900 and some change.
Within a few days of sending the money I couldn't get a hold of the collections department at all. So I tried entering the sales department in there phone tree. I got a hold of a receptionist several times but no one who could help me find out what was going on.
Every week since then I called and emailed, with no luck. Now the number I was given along with number from website has been disconnected. I am pretty sure my money is long gone. I will be contacting district attorneys office in ventrue CA to see it there is anything I can do.
I guess a contract and a Written guarantee don't mean anything if one party is a scam artist.
