In September, I fired another major Satillite provider for failing to provide adaquate customer service. Their replacement: DirecTv. Just when I thought I'd seen poor customer service, DirecTv shows me a new level of how not to do business. First their contracted installers don't follow instructions, damage my property and won't respond to my calls. I filed a report on them as well. Now, they steadfastly refuse to come out and reinstall the dish. They refuse to come out and do a proper inspection of the installation. Oh sure, they'll SAY they're coming out to inspect, but they refuse to set an appointment with me and I never hear from them again. I spoke with a "Supervisor" who claimed he would have a construction contractor come out and repair the siding that was damaged and have another tech come out and rewire the dish. So far, no work has been done and I have not heard a peep from him since.
I have a claim in their corporate escalations division. However they are demanding that *I* do their job in providing estimates on fixing the damage to my property and whatever else will have to be done. This is unconscionable and unacceptable.
This level of anti-customer attitude simply astounds me. All they had to do was APOLOGIZE and FIX the problem. But no.. they do not value their customers. I'm happy they think they are doing so well that pissing off customers at a whim is acceptable.
