Thanks for responding. Per BBB Case#: 75154632, this issue has been resolved by a member of Dish Networks' Dispute Resolution Team (Dave Simons). He was very helpful, and we were able to reach an agreement to take care of this issue. :)

If you read in your contract. Another option you had was the Dish Pause. You could have ( under the sole descretion of Dish Network ) called Dish Network and asked to have your account to be placed in Dish Pause. You could have done this for up to 6 months and placed the account on hold for 5.00 a month . This would have also extended your contract up to 6 months.
It's in your contract under " Suspension of Service ". You might have also called around and found a local Dealer to tell you this .
I realize the Economy sucks for everyone. But it only takes time to read your contract. Before you go and make a mistake. It's just not the satellite companies . It's also cable and cell phone companies.
Just take the time to read the contract before you call to cancel your service. It also states in the contract . That Dish can charge your card on file anywhere from 72 hours up to 30 days ( Cancellation Fees and Unreturned Equipment Charges ) .
