I ordered Dish service in Oct 2014. My husband was home to sign the agreement. My receiver the next day blew up and caused damage to other items. Dish sent me a replacement but that receiver was not very good. I was told to wait a year and do a free upgrade on receiver. I contacted Dish in Oct 2015 to do just that. They said it would be no problem and sent out a tech to install new receiver. I called a couple months later to verify my contract end date that I believed would be in Oct 2016 and I was informed that no, I was under contract through oct 2017 due to signing a new contract. I told them I did no such thing and the gal informed me that I had. I requested a copy of the contract. I received that contract in the mail and I was astonished when I looked to see someone had forged my initials and they were not even the correct initials! They forged it under customer signature, card authorization and contact information with AWE.

I do not even have a 'W' in my name. I called Dish and they do not seem too concerned about it. Meanwhile I am extremely upset that this has been allowed. Dish informed me that I can call back in November to cancel my services but until then I am still under contract. I am very mad that they do not seem to be taking the forgery seriously. Is this not an illegal action? I looked it up online and it seems to be a common practice for them. Now I am not sure what to do about it. The chaos this has caused is very unfair! I called them back today. They will not give me any information on what is being done about this forgery. They say it is internal and private. This is about me and my signature!! I should get some closure. Isn't Forgery a felony? They did say they are making the contract void but I still have no closure and still have to pay them through November! This is outrageous! I want charges to whoever forged my name. I see that this seems to be a common practice with them. How are they still in business?

Both Dish and Directv have cut off a lot of their Independent Dealers. It seems like the new norm from any business is to take advantage of the customer.

Certainly no industry doesn't have it crooks, but it seems like they get rid of their Loyal hard working Dealers. Then only keep the one which have no scruples and only care about the money.

I've been doing this for 32 years now and I have made mistakes, but I don't go out of my way to cheat anyone. I'm amazed how my customer's have stopped calling me and I understand they are paying Dish 96.00 a year for a Protection Plan. They don't want to pay me 60.00 anymore, but I used to do so much more for them that Satellite work.

So when customer don't even call around anymore and just accept the word of one person. Or can't even go to dish.com/serive-agreements  and look up the promotiona with the contracts associated with them.

So if you can prove what has been done to you. Then I would call the local Police and see what they say about it. Plus contact your Attorney General Office for your State.

I wonder with all our Technology if we haven't lost touch with reality. For example I customer a few months ago called and asked what I would charge to install a TV for her. The phone went quiet for 20 seconds and I thought she hung up on me. She informed me she had 4 TV's installed and paid the TV Guy 300.00 each. Not just once , but when she move he charged her that again.

Some of us do care about what we do for the customer. I recently installed 11 TV's for a customer and charged him 25.00 for each TV. He went ot Sam's Club and bought the TV's with the mount. He's been a Loyal customer of mine for 15 years and he trusted me so much. That he gave me his alarm code with a set of keys to his business and home 12 years ago.

So if I had been a crook i would have robbed him and took off along time ago.
