Florida,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds
Tue, January 13, 2015
I'm a former employee of this company and I very vividly remember this customer. She's not exactly being truthful and there's much more to her story than she would like people to know. I remember her as being incredibly demanding of our time, having us come out to her home on multiple ocassions for hours at a time while she agonized over every minute detail, changing her mind many times before finally ordering a single set of drapes. All because she did not want to order on-line with us like 99.9% of our customers all over the world did. We accommodated her every step of the way, even agreeing to accept 50% of the order amount when it wsa our policy to receive payment in full on all custom orders. It was clearly stated on the order she signed off on that the remaining balance was due upon receipt - NOT "sometime in the future after she's hung the draperies and decided she would pay or not". We never left custom draperies in anyone's posession without having received payment in full and it is simply not standard practice to do such a thing. When it came time to deliver her drapes, she refused to pay for them C.O.D. and refused to pay for the delivery cost. She was given many opportunities to pay the remaining balance and receive her drapes but she flat out refused. It was very strange. We lost money on her order because the cost of fulfillment was much higher than the deposit she paid and they were an odd style that we couldn't easily re-sell to the general public. It's too bad that she wouldn't honor the terms of service she agreed to.
Dream Drapes
Avon,#3REBUTTAL Owner of company
Tue, March 25, 2014
This person's complaint is against the prior owners of Dream Drapes. We, the currnet owners, recently purchased the website name from them. The name of the website (www.dreamdrapes.com) is the ONLY thing we have in common with the old business. We completely agree that this customer should be very upset about being ripped off, and it is our belief that situations like this is why the old company is now out of business.
The previous owners (and business) were located in Atlanta, GA. Dream Drapes is now a completely different business and ownership than the one discussed in this Rip Off Report. We are located in Connecticut, and we have no affiliation with the prior owners and business.
You should feel confident in ordering from Dream Drapes. We stand behind all of our products and custom window treatments 100%. We have alternative payment methods available that require no money paid to us until you receive your window treatments and are 100% satisfied.
