E-Club Marketing ripoff they don't tell you they are going to charge you check you bank account right away South Plainfield New Jersey
Recently my boyfriend and I decided to go with Dish Satellite rather than cable, it's a little cheaper. We had to give Dish network a credit card number so they could charge us for the $50 fee for deposit.
After about a week of service, luckily I work at a bank, I was checking my financial accounts and noticed there was a $19.05 fee from E-Club Marketing Satellite Protection. On my account, luckily, they listed their 877 number and so I called them to see what exactly this was for.
The first guy that I talked to told me that it was $19.05 every 3 months in case something breaks and a tech has to come out and fix it, we wouldn't have to pay the tech, just allow them to take money out of my account, WITHOUT my authorization!!!!
The guy also said that when we signed up for the dish network, the rep that we talked to should have told us about the fee. Nothing was EVER told to us about any E-Club fee or ANY kind of insurance type thing at all for our account.
I then talked to my boyfriend who set the account up and he told me we were not informed about the e-club fee. So I called the E-Club number back and cancelled my account that we weren't even aware of. (WEIRD)
I then called Dish Network, and the lady I talked to told me they are contracted with them and they are supposed to provide discounts and deals, but NO fees...I let the lady know and told her they need to be aware that if they are going to be contracted with them and if they do not want angry customers, they should be aware that their contracted partners are stealing credit card numbers and charging customers.
The lady tld me she would pass the information on to her super. Whether or not they have it taken care of, I am not sure, but I am supposed to be getting my $19.05 back and the lady at E-Club told me they will not touch my account again.
