East hills chevrolet, Scammers, unprofessional, and down right cruel. Roslyn/Douglaston New York
East hills chevrolet, both roslyn and douglaston, are scam artists and plan out cruel. I went to trade in my 2008 car for a tahoe. I first called the roslyn east hills and spoke to a guy who im pretty sure his name was andy or they called him "drew" on a count there were 2 andys. I had drove all the way to roslyn thinking i was gonna get cut a deal. They appraised my car and told me That the amount of my car towards one of the new tahoes when i decided the amount of my car towards a tahoe was way too much to finance, so i agreed on a trailblazer and id only need to finance about 8 grand more from the appraisal of my car. They assured me id get the financing and when i went to pick out the color of the truck, i said i wanted black and he said there wasnt black, i didnt even see any of the trucks i was shown pictures which was pretty strange. So i agreed to a blue truck.
After we signed paperwork i gave him a 100 dollar deposit and went on my way AFTER i was told to go to my insurance company and get the insurance on the truck. Next day i called, "theres a problem with the financing". Just GREAT. right as i was in the insurance office i get this call. I said i want my deposit back, the guy said no. I argued and demanded my deposit back theres no reason for him to keep it. he said he'd give me it back, and i never recieved the deposit.
So, as my truck search goes on, i was looking on optimum autos. and found some new trucks at the douglastons east hills. So i called them up and took a ride down there, when i called the guy he said only down the road from roslyn. YEAH RIGHT i make my way down and i ended up in queens, never told me it was about 2 hours more down northern blvd. So i get there, And i was being helped by a guy named chris im pretty sure. laid back guy, tried to be funny.
Anyway, as we were sitting down they told me to park my car along the curb up front so they can appraise my car. As i turn my head a COP is writing me a ticket! all the employees shoot up and said STOP HIM like it was some ongoing daily thing at this company. cops writing tickets. So after that the guy assured me not to worry and everything like that they'll take care of it. Me and my husband were there A WHOLE DAY because i had to get a 2005 used equinox, when i wanted a trailblazer and they told me the trailblazer was more then i had saw on optimum autos which was equal to the price of my brand new car. We waited for the guy who was trading this vehicle in to get financing, i was already stressed out i figured i would be getting the truck that day. He said come back the next day.
So the next day comes around, and my aunt whos a dealer told me not to go for it. And i knew i was gonna miss my car. So i decided to stick with it. I called up the guys very politely and told them i wanted to stick with my car. Well he got so angry at me because he couldnt make a sale! i was told im never getting my 200 dollar deposit back and my spare key/title and that was it and he hung up on me. He called me back and said i can have all of it back but id have to go ALL THE WAY BACK THERE (mind you its a 2 and a half hour drive) and pick it all up when it could easily have been MAILED!
A few weeks later i get a letter in the mail from traffic court. THE TICKET I GOT FOR PARKING ON THE CURB THAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD PAY FOR WAS MAILED TO ME TO PAY!! I was so angry i called up and asked to speak with the store owner/and or manager and explained my story to him. He promised he will take care of it and when i called back later and even my husband called too he said there was nothing he could do.
From both of the locations i was out 300 bucks. This dealer is very unprofessional, true scam artists, and not to mention im pretty sure the guy from douglastons that helped me "chris" is a drug addict because he admitted to me he smoked marijuana himself and also snorted cocaine. I couldnt believe how open he was to me. Ridiculous. NEVER GO TO THIS DEALER!!

This is Car Mad. I hate East Hills Chevrolet, as they are the worst dealer I have ever encountered!
I read what happened to you, and I have already written to several websites with my dealership review. Now someone named Phil (from East Hills), some PR person. wants to speak with me. I left him a vm awhile ago and of course he has not called me back. I am also in sales, and very good at my job, and do very well, and I treat my clients like GOLD. That is why they always come back to me, and more important recommend me to other clients.
I am so so angry at these people and I am not going away. I will let everyone know what this dealership does to people, and how sly they think they are.
