The owner Eddie Miller took 2,000 dollars to build me a stroker, and a year and a half and I have NO MOTOR and NO MONEY. The owner Eddie Miller says he is not concerned with paying me my Deposit back.
My Rating would be ZERO stars if that option was available, but since it is not. 1 star.
Edie Miller still to this day claims he quoted me a price for the build, but, never, never received any estimate. Told me it would take a month or 2, depending how parts come in. Well I asked him every month, when will my motor be done. Every month for a year he just kept saying next month. Well after hearing his blatant lies, (he knew he wasn't going to do the build), I gave up waiting on his lies and excuses. He claims I'm the reason for the delay, when he said he would order the parts and take care of the installation of the rotation assembly for my stroker build.
After complaining about my existing fuel system, (after he said their would be no problem making 425 RWHP), he start's back peddling and claiming we will have to upgrade the fuel system, in order to reach our goal of 425RWHP. So I say OK how much, the original verbal quote now all of a sudden went from $4,000 to 15,000 for upgraded fuel injection. I said whoo, whoo, let's go back to square 1 and start over. At this time I knew he was seeing if I had MONEY to give him a blank check, or, ..... watch very, very, carefully (NOW, because he wanted $9,000 for a fuel system upgrade) where my hard earned money was going.
He hasn't had anything come out of his mouth that was anything close to the truth. Bottom line the OWNER EDDIE MILLER was the biggest, story teller that I have ever met. Lie after Lie, was the service I received. Not how you want a engine build to go.
What makes matters worse for the OWNER EDDIE MILLER, is he claimed, after I worked it out of him, that he never had intentions to do the build anyway. He voluntarily admitted this in a documented conversation that I have.
He had a business down south in Broward County. (who in their right mind, that has a business in Broward County), moves from BROWARD COUNTY to Port St. Lucie. Well since the OWNER EDDIE MILLER burned his bridges in BROWARD COUNTY, he figured he would start burning bridges in St. Lucie County. Cause no one from down south in Broward brings any work to him, and that's a fact, those clients with his BS, hence the reason for the 4 county move. Figured if he moved far enough away from BROWARD he could start screwing people over in a different town.
This Place called the Engine Works hasn't built a ground up motor for at least 3 years. You see some work coming in, but never leaving, (just like my stroker build), because THE OWNER EDDIE MILLER, can't be up front with his customers, and finally just quits on these projects. And to make matters worse is the ENGINE WORKS.COM IS NOT EVEN ASE Certified. You get lip service with an attitude, is about it.
If you like being lied to, and have all the time in the world, and OH yeah, HAVE MONEY TO BURN, THE ENGINE WORKS.COM, might be the place for you!
The BBB attempted to contact THE ENGINE WORKS.COM 3 times and EDDIE MILLER ignored them. (Seems to me if he was legitimate he would stand up, and follow suite.)

Had a productive conversation with Mr. Miller about helping me with some refund money from the stroker build. We talked for awhile, and he said that he would help me, if I helped him take care of some business. Of course I wanted to put this issue to rest and move on from here with respect to each other, so we both agreed to help each other out, which was very positive.
To say the least, I am very pleased with Mr. Millers generosity to help me with the situation, and to be able to overcome the negativity, which generated from this matter.

When this individual first came to me for services, I had my doubts about doing business with him, he gave me an uneasy feeling, and for some time I acted dissinterested in doing busienss with him, but he was persistent, and he came in one time with money in hand, wanting me to build an engine for him, I decided to agree, and this is when the insantity started! I offered a clear, good plan to move forward with this project, the customer changed his mind a 100 times, even though I had laid out a cost effective plan based on my 35 years in the industry, that was not good enough for him, so the insanity continued, dispite all this, I followed through with my part, and compeleted things to the point of where we needed some more money to continue, as the deposit was just that, a deposit to start work, at that point I tried to get ahold of the cuistomer for months, calling him, messaging him on facebook, texting him, even called one time, he answered, and when he heard it was me, he hung the phone up on me, I thought this VERY strange, which it was, but consistent.
So after months of no contact, the customer shows up at my business, he was driving the vehicle we were building an engine for, he acted like nothing odd had went on, lifted the hood, showed me an engine that he bought from Chevrolet, proceeded to tell me all the shops he had work on it, and all the troubles he had from those shops, (imagine that!??!) at this point he asked for his deposit back, I said deposits are non refundable, that's why they are deposits, it's a promise you will follow through with your obligations, which he didn't, I told him he's free to take the engine that we had started to build for him and sell it, the could easily be sold for more than the deposit, he didn't like that answer, and here we are today!
Also, it was NEVER 1 1/2 years, deposit was recieved on 3/22/14, and engine was completed up, and as far as we could go on 11/12/14, and most of that delay was the customer not able to make his mind on what direction he wanted to go, believe me, I wore myself out trying to work with this customer, and all for not. If I was a doctor, lawyer, or therapist, I would of racked up a bill in the $1000.00's in just consultation fees!!!
My move from one county to another had nothing to do with business, I moved my business and my family to an area that we felt was better suited to raise our daughter, my business down south was strong, and for some time we traveled multiple times a week to service our longtime customers from Broward County, until we built up business in the new area, we even transferred our phone number from down south, so our customers could easily contact us, does that sound like someone trying to hide?? lol
Any business reading this, DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH Stephen Daly of Port Saint Lucie, you will live to regret it, as I have, and others have!!!
PS I will not even entertain all this individuals slandering of me..
