Escape Salon Had BAD eyelash extensions done, they refused to remove them! I had to visit my doctor and an eye doctor, be on medication and use eye drops for the problems they caused me! Internet
I was VERY excited to be receiving eyelash extensions. I got them done, went home and woke up early the next
morning with extreme pain in my right eye first. I could feel EVERY single lash, it felt like. I couldn't BLINK with out a sharp pain piercing through my eyelids. My eyes started to well up and turn bright red. My left eye started hurting mid day and turned blood shot as well. I knew, at this point, that something went horribly wrong. A friend of mine told me to boil some water and pour it into a bowl and hold my head over the steam. She said that may help relieve some of the
pain and discomfort I was experiencing. It did not help at all. I had to put some Vaseline on my lash line, cause my lashes were so sore, I thought this would help with the "pinching" feeling I was experiencing and give me some relief until I could get back into the salon to have them removed professionally. I texted the girl that did them again and
she told me to take my services elsewhere.
I was so upset over this. I was in tears, calling salons on a Sunday afternoon/evening seeing if there was anyone that could get me to relieve me of my pain and discomfort and remove these eyelash extensions. I finally reached a
woman at another salon. She told me to come in first thing Monday morning and the owner of the salon would take care of me. I spent that night in so much pain. I couldn't close my eyes "normally" and sleep cause it hurt so badly. I couldn't even sleep on my sides, because the pillows would rub against my eyelashes and send sharp pains through my
eyelids.
The next morning I went to the other salon to have my eyelash extensions removed. The woman doing them said that a lot of the lashes were glued to my actual EYELID! She said that is not right. My eyelid was "pissed off" that's why I was experiencing so much pain. She also told me that too many eyelashes were applied to my eyelids. I told her I asked the woman that did them, how many she applied to my eyelid and she told me "70". She said, "Nooooo.....At MOST she should have applied between 40-50". She could only remove about 20 from the right eye and 20-30 from the left I think. It was one of the MOST painful experiences EVER to get those removed!! (try putting super glue
to your eyelids and ripping them off....that's the only way I can explain it.) So I have to go back AGAIN next week to have the rest removed.
Later that evening, I had to go to my local walk-in-clinic to see a doctor. I was in so much pain, especially in my left eye. I was at the doctors for almost 3 hours!! The doctor had to put a dye in my eyes and could see a scratch on my lower left eye. She saw A LOT of irritation and inflammation and prescribed me Vicodin!! (I'm a stay at home mom, I CAN'T take Vicodin while I'm watching my kids. So I have to wait until my husband gets home and can relieve me of this pain so I
can take something to feel "normal I am very upset and saddened by all of this. The lack of apology or sympathy for what I have and still am going through is absolutely ridiculous to me. You would think that when an owner of a salon calls you, she or he would want to make it right and take care of the issue. But I received the complete opposite
from her. And I have not received any sort of an apology from the employee herself. She texted me and said that she did "nothing wrong, and did not mess up". Well, my pictures and doctor's visit seem to prove otherwise. As a client, you expect to be treated with respect and dignity when getting any sort of service from a business. And if there is a mistake/mess up made, you would hope that it wouldn't get swept under the rug and ignored, but acknowledge and admit that a mistake was made on their part and fix it themselves.
I did receive a refund for my eyelash extensions, but that doesn't fix the problems that I am dealing with now. Medical issues caused by a service done in a salon is a serious issue. I now have to go see my eye doctor this afternoon due to the scratch on my eye and hope and pray that there in no permanent damage done. I just wanted to share my personal and honest review on this business.
