I have, embarassingly, purchased 4 of these to date. 3 Pocket Hoses by Telebrands, and 1 Dap hose. ALL 4 have failed. I do not understand how this product is still on store shelves. To my credit the first purchase was for 1 only. It worked exactly as advertised. It was light weight, maneuvered like a dream, it seemed too good to be true, And of course it was. I was so impressed with the first days use I went and purchased 2 more for my front yard right away. I even told my husband to throw away all those bulky, heavy, kinky nasty hoses we had all around the house immediately! I enjoyed these hoses for all of about 2 weeks when the 1st one blew a split in the middle and started spewing water everywhere. I assumed, hoped this was a fluke and I'd done something wrong. But before long both of the other 2 experienced major fail. One at the spigot where it just started spewing water from the connection rendering it useless and the 3rd one splitting in the middle as well. The concept of this hose is awesome. The design literally blows. I love the concept SO MUCH I went and changed brands and bought yet another hose from the Dap brand. Realizing that the TeleBrands one is obviously flawed beyond redemption. However the only difference in the Dap brand hose is the name. It too failed and I feel like a complete idiot. First As Seen On TV ripoff I've experienced and it stings.
I tried to voice a complaint on their facebook page but, of course, they delete them almost as soon as you post. I've tried calling but haven't the patience to stay on hold for hours only to get a person unable to understand what I'm saying, supposedly. Whatever needs to happen to bring attention to the fact that these hoses are dangerous and a RIPOFF couldn't happen too soon. Slowing they are disappearing from store shelves and the companies selling them refusing to stock them any longer. My Ace hardware where I purchased will no longer carry the TeleBrands ones but will still order the Dap one for you. Thank god my husband realized what a piece of junk these things were the second he saw them and never actually threw away our regular hoses, that we've had for 10 years with no problems. He just laughed at me and hooked those bad boys back up. Hope something can be done here. It's a cryin shame.
