I opened a Finger Hut account realizing how easy it was to get because they give anyone credit so they can rip you off at an extremely inflated price. I ordered Funai DVD Recorder/VCR for $280, I found it elsewhere for $150 less (same exact item). When they shipped it to me they made no assurance it wouldnt get damaged and shipped it in it's own box (no packaging what so ever). I returned the item in proper packing so I was charged for what they didnt do originally & I end up paying $50.00 for absolutely nothing, all in just shipping charges. I've closed my account and asked them to refund my credit.
Stoneberry is the way to go, excellect customer service, same products as finger hut, except their fair in pricing you dont feel like your getting ripped off.

They charge higher prices because they give credit to just about anyone. Where most of these people can not get a regular credit card because they have shown they can not handle credit. Now, as a result with anything. The more of a risk someone is the higher fees, prices, interest they will pay. So in this case to make up for the "bad debt" that Fingerhut racks up with these borrowers, they make it up through higher prices.
But guess what...you knew what the price was BEFORE you bought the item and you still bought it. A company can charge you what ever price they want. If they wanted to charge you $25,000 and you bought it that is on you. Just like if they charged you $0.25. It is up to you as the consumer to think if it is worth it or not. As if you did your price checking BEFORE you paid for it you could have saved yourself that $50 in shipping.
