Firestone SIX TIMES IN - THREE TIMES DISGUSTED - DONE Cartersville, Georgia
9/9/2010 - Went to the Cartersville Firestone for an oil change. They suggested a battery corrosion treatment because it may cause future problems. I said ok. Afterwards, I had to go to work (7p-7a). Upon leaving work the following morning, my car would not start. I called and spoke to Tony at Firestone. He couldn't imagine that it had anything to do with their work and explained they have no towing. After working 12 hours, I had to stand in the heat and wait for a tow truck.
Just prior to leaving, the tow truck operator wanted to look at the engine. He found that the battery cables had not been tightened to the battery. He got me started and I drove to Firestone. As I was getting out of my car, one of the bay crew said "hey so and so the black Nissan is back". They all got a big laugh. Tony was busy and the other advisor was less than apologetic. They certainly never offered to pay the $40 towing fee which turned out to be diagnosing their mistake.
3/19/2011 - The Cartersville Firestone could not do the air conditioning check. I went to Town Center. The technician recommended a new air conditioner at $1,155.82. I explained to him that all was working--the air was not cool. They added freon and said that it would not last long. My air conditioner is still blowing cool air as of this day.
7/28/2011 - Again to the Cartersville center for three tires and four belts. Upon departure, the overhead light just over the dashboard falls out of the ceiling and the lights no longer work. When I drove the car in everything was intact and working. I had to super glue the box back up until I can have it fixed. Further, Tony calls my cell phone and leaves a message that the technician left his tool under the hood and asked that I come back. Obviously, I have never been back.
As a consumer, I know that bad or unexpected things can occur. But when you repeatedly see stupid mistakes, constant nagging of this and that needing to be done, a "do no wrong" attitude, why would I trust doing business with this establishment?
