First American Consulting Group preys on people down on their luck and searching for ways to turn their lives around Ripoff New York Nationwide
I was searching on-line for ways to improve my financial situation. I applied for several online university programs and looked into ways to qualify for financial assistance.
A few weeks later I was contacted by Rachel Adams of the First American Consulting Group. She informed me that I was approved for a grant of "not one cent less than $5000.00." I was thrilled and agreed to pay the fee of $298.00 for processing of this grant.
Rachel said I would be receiving a package in the mail as soon as their payment was received, and I was to complete the enclosed questionnaires and get it back to them promptly, as I would receive my grant within 2 weeks of them receiving their payment.
The day after the money was taken from my account, I called Rachel and she said I would have my booklet and paperwork to complete by 2/23/07. On March 1st, I still hadn't received anything and so I called Rachel. The number now says it has been forwarded to automatic voice messaging, and the mailbox is full so you can't leave a message.
I went to the web site Rachel gave me to check it out and see if there was a different phone number or some other way to contact the company, and found the rip off report and dozens of letters from other people who were taken in by this same company, and in fact the same woman I talked with, Rachel Adams.
I am absolutely outraged!!! I will be contacting an attorney and talking with my bank to see about getting my $298.00 back. Please do not be taken in by this company!! They are nothing but a bunch of scam artists praying on people who don't have much money and are looking to improve their situation.
