First Union Financial Group ripoff New York New York
We applied for a personal loan online. We received a call from a woman that didn't speak very good english telling us that we've been approved for a $15000 loan, 7% interest rate for 5 years. We were kinda worried so we looked at their website and looked really legit.
We asked them to email us the forms and they wouldn't email, just fax so they faxed over the from. We faxed the forms back along with a voided check and a copy of our drivers lisence. Then they called back and said we had to send $1220 for the first 4 payments of the loan and insurance premium. Like idiots we western unioned the money to Sandra Sespids in New York, NY. We didn't use the green form like they asked because we did online and it didn't ask us.
Then we got another call stating that they tried to waive the processing fee of $449 but they got a new computer software and that we needed to send it. We didn't like the idea but were in need of the money to catch up so we sent the money. This time it was Collin Coley in Maple, Ontario, Canada. They told us that everything was good and that we would have our money in 4-8 hours.
We never got the money so the next day we called and they have a system that asks for your name before they answer and they would never answer, we only could leave a message. Finally after the 3rd time we lied about who we were and they picked right up then we told them who we were and they guy was very rude and short and told us not to call back and they'd call us once we had been funded the money.
That night I went online to western union's website and found out that this was a fraud. We went back to their website and used contact us and sent them an email and they email gets returned to us as no such user. Imagine that. We have turned it in to a few places and are calling Canada's fraud aler phone busters tomorrow. These people are taking avantage of people who really need help!
