Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My husband was involved in an auto accident on 03/20/05. We filed our claim the very next day. It took a few days for the adjuster to come and check out our vehicle. They recommended that I take my vehicle to another repair shop.(Local Dealership) I refused to take it elsewhere and left it @ Crown Paint & Body Shop. Our vehicle was ready in 2 weeks.

It took a month for my vehicle to be released to us by the body shop because Fred Loya/Vision kept lying about when they sent out the check. The check was being mailed from the McAllen office. It took that check 8 days to arrive. The check they sent was not for the whole amount of the estimated repairs, so the repair shop refused to release us our vehicle. I understand they need their monies for the work rendered. Fred Loya/Vision Ins. employees were very rude to me over and kept giving me the run-around over the phone. They would pretend not to hear us (even if we were using a land phone)If we asked to speak to a supervisor they would transfer our call to another claims rep. or to a voice mail.

Most of these people acted like uneducated ill mannered individuals who most likley couldn't get hired by a well reputable Company so they settled here. It could also be that Fred Loya/Vision Ins hires just anyone off the street with out proper training to do their dirty work. Well, with the exception of maybe 2 employees. And those 2 were based out of another office other then McAllen or Houston. To this day my vehicle is not totally fixed. They refused a 2nd supplement to damage caused by the accident. Fred Loya/Vision Ins. was re-embursed by the other person's (who was @ fault for the accident) Insurance.

All I have to say is that I dropped them as my Insurance provider. Other than the injuries my husband sustained in this accident They caused the biggest blow to us when our jobs were threatened because we were unable to get to our places of employment due to the fact that we couldn't drive our vehicle that was ready (and we were making payments on while it sat @ the repair shop awaiting a check from them.) It doesn't matter to them how frustrated you are. All they care about is taking your money when you make a payment and run to their bank with it. But just you try to file a claim and they give you a very difficult time. Good Riddance! Over and done with them for good.

You are so right. They do hire people off the street with no claims experience. Also, needless to say no social skills, communication skills, or tact either! I used to work in the San Antonio office as a casualty adjuster, which I have been licensed as since 1986. I didn't last long! I obviously did not fit in with those uneducated, illerate people. The reason they hire people like that is #1 they will listen to & do anything management says, they don't know any better, #2 they can't find another job, and #3 they fit right in with the other illerates! All my friends who came from the same background as myself are no longer there. We all saw the light & moved on to bigger and better things. They required us to settle claims for less than they were worth, putting our licenses in jeopardy, and the smart adjusters have moved on but the stupid ones are still there, just waiting for tx dept of ins to come down on them & fine them for unfair claims practices.

Fred Loya Insurance wants to be the leader in Houston by opening 100 offices by the end of 2006. But, Honestly, I don't see that happening. I worked in Fred Loya for 3 years and I witness how Edgar Fiol the Regional Manager from Houston will teach his employees how to rip-off his customers. I'll give you some examples. 1. When quoting the customer they ask the question. Have you have any tickets or accidents in the pass three years? if you say yes I have a no insurance ticket or I'm not sure???? First of all NO INSURANCE tickets are not to be charge by any insurance company and the 2nd mess up thing they do wrong is that they charge you for the ticket even when you said that you are not sure. Well, let me tell you something they don't check your driving record, they only check it at the time of an accident...and check this out they do it because you if told them that you didn't have any tickets or accidents they can denied you claim stating that you lied. When in reality they should of check your record to being with, now if you wouldn't have had that accident they would of never check your record and they would keep taking your money. However, you said that you weren't sure they put on the ticket today's date that so they will charge you for that ticket for the next three years even you don't have a ticket. 2. They claim not to have a down payment but when you try to buy a policy they charge you 2months up from if you over the age of 25. That is inside the offices. Now, the outside sales employees, they ones that go to the dealer ships to sell you insurance because you can't get the vehicle out of the dealer ship with out insurance, well, they have they sales man call them to rip you off and they charge you up $150 service fee!!!! They give $50.00 dollars to the sale man and they keep $100.00. They don't care if you cancel your policy tomorrow they just want their commission. PS: Half of their employees are not license to sell insurance in the State of Texas!!!! Honestly, I Have a lot more to say but these people just really make me sick!!!
