City of Los Angeles Global Antiques Certificate of Authenticity (COAs) are being offered up attached to many celebrity memorabilia, TV & movie props, etc. Every photo of this COA is exactly the same, including typographical errors and the same black stamp & signature/initials of the COA provider. None of which offer ANY detailed information even IDENTIFYING  the ITEM it's being offered with, Most recently, items from MICHAEL JACKSON's NEVERLAND or "MJ ESTATE" on eBay.
If you Google Global Antiques, you will find several links ot legitimate antique businesses w/ that name but you will also find many reports (such as #335952 here) reffering to OriginalProp.com/blogs, Auction Depot LA, Auction Shop USA an most recently, eBay Seller: ggaainc (registered Aug 09). Mysertiously, the COA is mentioned in the (brief, lacking ALL details), item description but not included in the listing photos. Upon inquiry, you will receive a emailed photo from "seller"  of this bogus, non-identifying COA mentioned above.
I would recommend NOT purchasing ANY claimed-to-be memorabilia frok ANY seller offering this COA. I have purchased some recent memorabilia and studied many items.... NO AUTHENTIC COA looks like this at ALL. It's fraudulent that they're even referring to it as a COA.

("...items owned/autographed by the recently deceased Michael Jackson.  eBay dealers selling items authenticated and certified genuine by Global Antiques were summarily suspended by eBay in June 2008 ....") and WHY are they back?!

Below, a few excerpts from above thread link:

"...eBay dealer moniemon92? with an account created in 2007 but with no recorded transactions until a few weeks ago has listed a number of items for sale with Global Antiques certificates of authenticity.  These auction offerings are dominated by listings of items owned/autographed by the recently deceased Michael Jackson.  eBay dealers selling items authenticated and certified genuine by Global Antiques were summarily suspended by eBay in June 2008 following a series of Original Prop Blog articles.

As reported in April of this year, a customer of Global Antiques reseller Auction Depot LA filed suit against Greg Jones of Global Antiques and Adam Ward of Auction Depot LA; the lawsuit was settled out of court as detailed in the article (see Global Antiques & Auction Depot LA Update: Victim Secures $18,000 Settlement & Deferred Judgment Following Lawsuit).

Some of the initial listings included photos of the COAs, while more recent listings included photos showing the COAs next to the items, but at a resolution in which the details are more obscured...."
