GNS Supplements: Slim-Seduction Ripoff Ignored requests for cancellation and continued to charge my account, then told me it wouldn't do me any good to file complaints Arvada Colorado
I fell for a try-it-free offer - paid shipping to be billed later if satisfied. There was an opportunity to cancel (not the usual 30 days) and it lapsed before I realized the supplements were glorified crap. I received an email from the company notifying me of their intent to bill for the first shipment, 49.95. I was fine with that - I read the guidelines. I responded with an email requesting that no further orders be sent, no further charges to my accounts be made, my account closed, etc. I never got a response. That was July 1, about two weeks after my initial order.
Then on July 10, I'm charged another 39.95. I called the customer service number. I was told that my request for cancellation was not valid unless I received a response and an authorization number. I was also told that I could return the product, but I would only receive a credit toward further purchases from Global Nutrition. I threatened complaint and the C.S. rep told me that it wouldn't do any good to complain because I agreed to the terms when I made the order. I asked to be connected to a supervisor. I was put on hold, then sent to "Nick's" voice mail. I left an irate message and recieved no response.
I'm going to dispute the charge with my bank. I've also filed a complaint with the BBB. I recommend others do the same.
