DOES GRANDMA OR GRANDPA NEED THE SERVICES OF GOGOGRANDPARENT? NO.
A friend of mine used the services of GoGoGrandparent for transportation. Little did my friend know that GoGoGrandparent is merely a dispatch service for UBER and/or Lyft.
The company also charges $.19 a minute for monitoring and tracking of each ride.
Additionally, if there is the occurance of a "no show" for the ride then GoGoGrandparent charges for these ""no shows". The driver dispatched is allowed to proceed with the ride as if the passenger is in the vehicle.
It takes a wise individual to review the receipts sent for each ride taken. If any discrepancies are found there will be a tooth and nail fight to get the refunds for the overcharges and fraud charges.
Please keep in mind that GoGoGrandparent is a go between for UBER and Lyft. GoGoGrandparent is merely riding on the coat tails of these companies in order to make their $.19 a minute charges. Naturally without the partnership of UBER and Lyft GoGoGrandparent profits zero.
Can't Grandma or Grandpa on their own just phone UBER or Lyft without the middleman GoGoGrandparent--of course they can and should.
Why should anyone pay an additional rate for transportation over and above the cost of UBER; Lyft or taxis?
My friend's relative paid approximately $90.00 for 14 miles of travel. That is over $6.00 + a mile.
The fares are extremely high charged to these seniors and disabled individuals. If Mr. Boogaard truly wants to run a company looking out for seniors then he needs to develop a company with cost-savings in mind.
The company states a cell phone is not needed for the rides. How is one to phone in to get their return ride home?
Shame on you Mr. Boogaard. Your concerns are only for your pockets.
My friend has purchased a smartphone for their relative. Invested a few minutes of iinstruction regarding the smartphone to their relative. Now the individual has the freedom to secure transporation without a middleman.
You can teach the elderly new tricks with patience.
