Gold's Gym in Loveland Colorado will do NOTHING in regards to customer service when their employee provided false and inaccurate information during a high-pressure sales tactic to get me to sign the contract.

I am not disputing that I signed the contract, and yes, they have their piece of paper. This issue is about them not standing behind what their employees convince people of during the sales process and their complete lack of customer service when trying to get your money back as originally promised.

I was there while my friend was joining the gym. The girl kept trying to get me to sign up too. I repeatedly said that it was not feasible for me to join in this location because I would be moving soon (beyond the 25 mile radius) and it would take more than an hour to get there making it unlikely to use the facility with my work schedule. She was so high-pressure that she finally wore me down by telling me that although it was not their ususal policy she had "checked with the head of the training department" and it was "no problem" for me to cancel my membership and get my money back on the personal training "at any time after I moved".

The guy who called me back was his first day on the job and told me he couldn't do anything because it was a "he said/she said" although I informed him that multiple people (that are still their paying members) were there that night and heard exactly what she said.

This was a complete waste of $770 and I want people to know DO NOT TRUST GOLD's GYM....EVER. In my opinion, based on this experience, they are greedy, unethical, money-mongers who have no concept of customer service.

The contract is the ONLY thing that matters. That is why it is important to get everything in writing. Your wanting to base your reason for cancelling your contractual agreement on what you were TOLD has no substance at all. All the power is with the written contract which YOU signed.
