on 2/19/2008 I purchased a lot of 300 flat screen monitors from govliquidation.com. The total spent on the purchase, buyers premium and shipping was $16,955 US dollars paid by wire transfer (they would not accept a credit card payment). They would not allow me to personally preview the load prior to purchase. In my best effort to conduct due diligence I was able to obtain the phone number to the Nevada warehouse where the items were stored, sorted and shipped from (global investment recovery llc (GIRPM)).
I spoke with the warehouse manager Justin Amiro who explained that they conduct a physical inspection and separate any monitors with cracked cases
or cracked screens. He further explained that those items are isolated and destroyed and only items in good physical condition are sold in the auction lots. He also stated the working ration is typically about 80%. Based on that information I proceeded with my bid and purchase.
Upon receipt we immediately conducted inventory and testing. Much to my dismay only about 20% were good working monitors. Over 50% contained cracked cases and screens (I was assured by Justin in Reno that the load would not contain cracked cases or screens). I ultimately sold the load for pennies on the dollar and incurred almost a $20000 loss counting labor and warehouse rents.
I immediately filed a claim which was escalated to Tim Hill
Director, Customer Relations Government Liquidation, LLC
DOD Surplus, LLC. whom denied the claim. I requested to speak with the president CEO or COO of the company and was denied access to them.
My business which was funded by a government backed loan small business loan was virtually bankrupted by the incident.
I am currently working on filing a class action lawsuit and am seeking contact information on parties who have had a similar experience and wish to become co-plaintiffs.
If you have had a similar experience and believe you are a fraud victim of govliquidation.com / liquidity services llc please contact me at (((email redacted)))
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
