Grant University Grant rip off company Draper Utah
I was turned down for financial aid for college and I came across the web page for Grant University. They advertise that you can use their software to find government grants and you had 7 days to try it for a fee of $1.98 that covered shipping and handling. It said on their page if you were not completely satisfied you could get your money back. I figured what the heck and thought I would try it. I waited 4 days no software, 6 days no software and on the seventh day I got charged on my check card $65.95.I did get the software, 12 days later, and it was just a single disk.
When I saw that they charged me I tried calling them and I was on hold any where from 20 minutes to a half an hour and I never did get through. Finally I e-mailed them and said I was not pleased that they charged me and I never did get the software to try it out and wanted to cancel this. They canceled this alright but I have yet seen a refund. To add salt to the wound I noticed another charge from another company and they said it was a charge from a sister company. I demanded a refund from this company too because Grant University had to have given them my card number because I very rarely shop on line with places I don't know.
I feel like an idiot for falling for this rip off pro. Oh and they charge the 69.95 on a monthly basis. I did cancel my bank card but its funny how Grant University charged me on a Friday and this so called sister company on a Tuesday. Just be careful!
