Green Energy products Home Exterior Designs Lie about products, target elderly, inferior work, non-payment of employee wages, Hickory, North Carolina
Green Energy products is a company that has people calling about a free energy analysis to the customer. They target the elderly, the call sheets list the persons age, you are told to hang up if a young person answers.
Once you qualify them for a FREE analysis, a supposed professional inspector goes to the home and does a free inspection, the customer is told that they will receive free information on how to lower there energy bills, what actually happens is they go into the attics where they know the elderly can't follow and conveniently find drafts, leaks, etc or oh my look at this dead rodent.
After the victim is convinced that they are losing energy, resulting in loss of money,the inspector gives them the contact info for a business to fix the problem, thus the real purpose of the call, which is for the company to replace or repair a something that is actually not broken.
Under the first name Home Exterior Design the people are assured that the company belongs to the BBB, it does not, they are also told that the company has a A+ rating, it is actually a F rating with 28 complaints, listed on the BBB site.
They ran that name in the ground so on 02-14-2012 they got another license in the name of Green Energy Products, again the people are assured they are a member of the BBB and maintain a A+ rating. The rating for this company is a B, the product they use are sub-standard and there work is second rate. They have 5 complaints so far.
They also do not pay there employees in a timely manner, they make them wait weeks past the date and then make them come back countless times before actually giving them there wages.
