This company has been billing me for some time without my consent. Here is the e-mail I sent to Ryan Riddle, General Manager. You will notice that he replies to most complaints regarding this company.

----------

Hello Mr. Riddle,

I'm not one to pore over every detail of my bank statement and generally trust in the integrity of those I do business with. I'm also pretty familiar with everyone I do business with so when tax time came around and I did take a few minutes to go over my statements I was rather surprised to find charges from someone I'd never heard of.

It took me some time to track these monthly charges down to an incident last summer. While trying to secure financial aid for my youngest sister's college education, my mother came across your web site and noted your offer for a free CD to aid in finding grant money. She doesn't have a credit card so I let her use mine to cover the shipping fee.

Needless to say, I never agreed to a monthly charge. My mother never agreed to a monthly charge. In fact, the CD is still sitting next to my mother's computer in the original packaging since it has never even been used. I would like to believe that this is a misunderstanding. However, the method that I found your company name, your personal name and this e-mail address leads me to doubt the integrity of your company.

At first I looked up NetworkAgenda.com. I had never seen that website in my life and truthfully, the tools it appears to offer are not something I would ever find need for. So, I used Google to look up GSA/SBA Express and NetworkAgenda.com in an effort to figure out what the connection was and how I might have come to do business with you. What I discovered was the web site ripoffreport.com in which no less than 90 complaints almost identical to my own have been submitted regarding your company.

It was there that I learned the connection between these mysterious charges to my account, and where I found your name, your e-mail address and your phone number.

I'm not one to jump to conclusions, so I'll give you the benefit of a doubt. The charges against my account have been made without my consent for services or products that I have no knowledge of. In your many rebuttals on the above site you claim that these bills are the result of a misunderstanding and that your company would never knowingly bill someone for something they don't want.

Having never even opened the CD it is obvious to me that I don't want or need the services of your company at this time. Also, I was never aware of any monthly fees nor was I privy to any knowledge or services that I may have been entitled to through ownership of that CD. I have been unknowingly billed for something that I did not specifically purchase.

So can you please arrange to have all future billing of my account cancelled? Also, I would greatly appreciate a refund of the money that has been drafted without my consent. I have no issues with the original shipping and handling fee for the CD and wouldn't feel right accepting a cent of that back. However, I don't appreciate feeling like I'm being cheated which is exactly how I feel at the moment.

Sincerely,

Frank Taylor

P.S. I will be posting a copy of this to the web site ripoffreport.com. Once the issue is resolved, I will post a reply on that site as to the nature of your response.

Issue Resolved!

I wanted to keep my promise and note that this issue was quickly and painlessly resolved by the company. After e-mailing Ryan Riddle, his assistant, Lara Clements, worked with me to ensure that not only was I refunded every charge I didn't agree to, she even made sure that the accounts were cancelled so that I would no longer be billed. My advice for reaching a swift resolution to this would be to ensure that you have all of the pertinent information -- mailing name and address for the account, billing name and address, and it might prove beneficial to them to know exactly what charges you are disputing, in the event that some of the charges are not being made by them or their affiliates. And above all, be polite. Ms. Clements worked very hard to correct this matter for me as I'm sure she will gladly do for anyone else with similar complaints. Having worked in customer service myself, it is much easier to help someone that isn't berating you constantly. Sincerely, Frank

First of all let me offer my sincerest apologies to Frank. There are no commitments with the free product. There is a bonus free trial period to the membership websites that accompanies the free CD and we do our best to disclose this as it is stated on the sales page, the order page, the confirmation page and in the confirmation email. You can also see that it is disclosed in the 1st paragraph of Terms and Conditions of the offer. The trial period is free for 14 days and we would not have charged Frank had he canceled during the trial period. It is not our desire to bill clients who do not want the membership after the free trial offer. If you'd like to cancel using the customer service line it is 866-396-5718 and they are available 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you are another customer that is reading this and you feel that we have failed you in some way please call me directly at 435-773-1795 or email me at [email protected] and I would be happy to address your concerns ASAP. Sincerely, Ryan R.
